We know that with such a big choice of buggies on the market, identifying the ideal one for you to use on public transport can sometimes be tricky and overwhelming.
So in spring 2016, we hosted a day of judging, where a panel of leading parenting experts considered all the buggies submitted and produced a shortlist of 10. This shortlist was then opened up to a public vote to find our customers' favourite five buggies for public transport.
We've listed the best buggies in alphabetical order.
Unfolded dimensions: 106cm x 86cm x 44cm

On the day of judging, our panel was asked to consider a number of aspects which make a buggy perfect for public transport. The criteria are set out below and might help you if you're currently making a decision around the type of buggy to buy for use on our network.
Our judges identified buggies that are small and compact - both when standing and folded. They considered whether the buggies were able to pass through our buses easily, small enough to share the wheelchair priority space with wheelchair users, other buggies, trollies, mobility aids or assistance dogs, and whether they were able to fit into our lifts in stations.
Space is sometimes limited on our services, so judges shortlisted buggies based on whether they are easy to fold.
If you're using a buggy on our services, you might need to go up and down steps and lift buggies on to trains - so all of the buggies shortlisted are lightweight. They've also been assessed on comfort, safety, balance, suspension and manoeuvrability.
Affordability is important, so our judges included a range of prices of buggies on the shortlist.
We know that you might not want to sacrifice style over cost - so aesthetics were also considered.
The opinions expressed in the best buggy vote are those of the judging panel and are not the views or opinions of Transport for London.
Transport for London does not endorse any product which does or does not feature in the best buggy vote. Other models of buggy on the market are suitable for use on public transport.
