Northern line closure
Find out more about the work we are doing at Bank and Monument, and why this closure is needed.
- There is no Northern line at four stations: Bank, London Bridge, Borough, and Elephant & Castle
- There are fewer Northern line trains between Camden Town and Moorgate
- Some other lines and stations are exceptionally busy
Travel at quieter times or use other Tube, rail, bus, walking and cycling routes during the closure.
To help people travel, we are:
- Running more frequent trains on the Charing Cross branch of the Northern line
- Providing more buses, with a temporary new route from Oval into the City (route 733)
- Deploying more staff across our network to support customers
You can use your Oyster or pay as you go contactless card on alternative routes on Tube, Rail and bus services in London during the closure.
