Extension of route 316 to Brent Cross West Station - 10 December 2023
From Sunday 10 December route 316 will be extended from Cricklewood Bus Garage to Brent Cross West Station.
Route 316 will run beyond Cricklewood Bus Garage via Edgware Road and Geron Way to terminate opposite the western entrance to the new Brent Cross West national rail station.
Route 316 will continue to run every 8 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.
Times of first buses will be 0515 from White City Bus Station and 0508 (0503 on Sundays) from Brent Cross West Station
Times of last buses will be 0009 from White City Bus Station and 2400 from Brent Cross West Station

New route SL1 introduced - 9 December 2023
Route SL1 will run as an express bus service between North Finchley Bus Station and Walthamstow Central Bus Station via Friern Barnet, Arnos Grove, Palmers Green, and Upper Edmonton.
Route SL1 will run every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturday and every 15 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.
First buses will be timed to depart North Finchley at 0500 on all days of the week.
First buses will be timed to depart Walthamstow Central at 0520 on all days of the week.
Last buses will be timed to depart North Finchley at 0030 on all days of the week.
Last buses will be timed to depart Walthamstow Central at 0050 on all days of the week.

Christmas & New Year Services
Here's our guide to service levels on the bus network for the Christmas and New Year period:
Saturday 23 December - Normal Saturday timetable on both day and night bus routes
Christmas Eve, Sunday 24 December - Sunday timetables on day bus routes. There will be no night bus services and 24-hour routes will finish around Midnight.
Christmas Day, Monday 25 December - No service
Boxing Day, Tuesday 26 December - Sunday timetables on day and night bus routes.
Wednesday 27 December - Saturday timetables on day bus routes with weekday only route SL6 running special timetables. A Wednesday night timetable will run on the night bus network.
Thursday 28 December - Saturday timetables on day bus routes with weekday only route SL6 running special timetables. A Thursday night timetable will run on the night bus network
Friday 29 December - Saturday timetables on day bus routes with weekday only route SL6 running special timetables. A Friday night timetable will run on the night bus network.
Saturday 30 December - Normal Saturday timetable on both day and night bus routes
New Year's Eve, Sunday 31 December - Normal Sunday timetable on day bus routes. Special timetables will run on night and 24 hour bus routes. Many Central London routes will be curtailed short of the Westminster / West End areas from 1900 due to road closures for the New Year celebrations. More details will be provided shortly.
New Year's Day, Monday 1 January - Sunday timetables on day routes and Monday timetables on all night bus routes.
Tuesday 2 January - Normal timetables resume.

Changes to buses from Saturday 2 December
The following timetable changes will take place from Saturday 2 December.
Route 72 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 78 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. Route 78 will be operated by Go Ahead London from this date.
Route 96 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 107 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 152 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 157 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. Route 157 will be operated by Go Ahead London from this date.
Route 321 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. The schoolday only journey at 1458 from Eltham Hill College for Girls towards New Cross Gate is withdrawn.
Route 381 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 12 minutes at all times on all days of the week except before 0630 on Monday to Fridays and 0830 on Saturdays when buses will run every 15 minutes and on Sundays before 0930 when buses will run every 20 minutes.
A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 414 which will widen the frequency of the service to a bus every 8-9 minutes between 1000 and 1930 and every 12-13 minutes between 1930 and 2300 on Monday to Fridays only. There is no change to the service outside of these times. This temporary timetable will give buses more time to complete journeys during increased traffic levels in the Hyde Park area during Winter Wonderland.
A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 452 which will widen the frequency of the service to a bus every 12-13 minutes between 1100 and 1400 on Monday to Fridays, 1300 and 2300 on Saturdays and 1300 and 2000 on Sundays. On Monday to Fridays between 1400 and 2300 on Monday to Fridays the frequency will be widened to every 13 minutes. There is no change to the service outside of these times. This temporary timetable will give buses more time to complete journeys during increased traffic levels in the Hyde Park area during Winter Wonderland.
Route D7 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.
Route N72 will have a new timetable on all nights of the week with minor changes to times.
Route N381 will have a new timetable on all nights of the week with minor changes to times.

Changes to buses from Saturday 9 December
The following changes will take place from Saturday 9 December.
Route 34 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays. Also, from this date route 34 will now set down passengers at bus stop X on Selborne Road instead of inside Walthamstow Central Bus Station. No change to the pick-up stop towards Barnet.
The temporary timetable on route 187 will be removed with the frequency of the service restored to run every 15 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 20 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.
The temporary timetable on 24 hour route 220 will be removed with the frequency of the service restored to run every 6-7 minutes during the AM & PM peak on Monday to Fridays, every 8 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays, every 7-8 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays, every 10 minutes during the daytime on Sundays and every 12 minutes during the evening on all days. Route 220 will continue to run every 30 minutes throughout the night on all nights of the week.
The temporary timetable on route 260 will be removed with the frequency of the service restored to run every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.
The temporary timetable on route 266 will be removed with the frequency of the service restored to run every 8 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays, every 10 minutes during the daytime on Sundays and every 12 minutes during the evening on all days.
The temporary timetable on 24 hour route 297 will be removed with the frequency of the service restored to run every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays. Route 297 will continue to run every 30 minutes throughout the night on all nights of the week.

Changes to buses from Saturday 16 December
The following timetable change will take place from Saturday 16 December.
The temporary timetable on route 195 will be removed with the frequency of the service restored to run every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays, every 15 minutes during the daytime on Sundays and every 20 minutes during the evening on all days.

Eversholt Street Closure - 6 November 2023
Since Monday 6 November Eversholt Street has been closed southbound between Mornington Crescent Station and Euston Station for major water main replacement works.
Due to these works some changes to routes 1, 253, N5, N20 and N253 have taken place.
Route 1 is currently diverted towards Canada Water after bus stop W, named Pratt Street, on Bayham Street via Crowndale Road, Pancras Road, Midland Road and Euston Road to Upper Woburn Place re-joining line of route at bus stop M. Buses are serving all stops on the diversion route. No change to the route of buses towards Hampstead Heath.
Route 253 is currently running between Hackney Central and Mornington Crescent Station only with no service between Mornington Crescent Station and Euston Bus Station. Buses are terminating at bus stop D outside Mornington Crescent Station and starting back to Hackney Central from bus stop A on Hampstead Road which is opposite Mornington Crescent Station. For Euston passengers should change to bus route 1 at bus stop W, named Pratt Street, on Bayham Street. Coming from Euston passengers should use bus route 1 and change to route 253 at bus stop A, named Mornington Crescent Station, on Hampstead Road.
Routes N5 and N20 towards Trafalgar Square and route N253 towards Tottenham Court Road Station are diverting after bus stop W, named Pratt Street, on Bayham Street via Crowndale Road, Millbrook Place, Harrington Square, Liddlington Place and Hampstead Road to Tottenham Court Road re-joining line of route at bus stop N named Capper Street. For Euston passengers should change at bus stop U at Warren Street Station and walk around the corner and take any bus from stop Q to reach Euston Station. There is no change to the route of the N5 towards Edgware, N20 towards Barnet Hospital or the N253 towards Aldgate.
These works are currently due to at the end of November 2023.

Victoria bus station/Terminus Place from 13 November 2023
From Monday 13 November 2023, Victoria bus station and Terminus Place will be closed for about 6 weeks for essential works to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility.
All bus routes will continue to run, but temporary changes will be made to the stopping arrangements for routes that currently serve Terminus Place and Victoria bus station.
Westerham Hill closure - 16 December 2023
Westerham Hill will be closed in both directions from Saturday 16 December until Saturday 30 December which will impact the routing and timetable of the 246.
Route 246 will be diverted in both directions between Biggin Hill, Lebanon Gardens and Westerham Green. Buses will instead run via Lebanon Gardens, Stock Hill, Sunningvale Avenue, Polesteeple Hill, Ricketts Hill Road, Church Hill, Ship Hill, Tatsfield Approach Road, Clarks Lane, Croydon Road and Market Square. All bus stops along the diversionary route will be served.
The timetable for route 246 will be completely changed during these works with the frequency widened by 7-8 minutes to better schedule the amount of buses using the section of route between Sunningvale Avenue and Ship Hill to avoid conflicts with other buses over tight roads.

Long term diversions
Routes Affected: 40, 57, 60, 65, 71, 81, 85, 90, 109, 110, 111, 119, 131, 166, 187, 213, 216, 222, 274, 281, 285, 292, 312, 350, 360, 371, 394, 405, 406, 407, 411, 412, 418, 423, 433, 452, 465, 466, 468, 481, 671, 698, C1, E2, K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, N21, N65, N68, N87, N109, N137, N250, R68, R70, U1, U3 and U5.
Kingston Cromwell Road bus station is closed until Summer 2024. Buses which normally stop in the bus station or on Cromwell Road are serving temporary stops, diverting or stopping short of their normal destinations. Stops A1 to A16 and Z1 as well as stop R on Wood Street are closed for the duration of the works. Two new temporary bus stops with shelters are located to the east of the bus station on Cromwell Road. Route E2 is diverted in both directions due to the closure of Windmill Road underneath the M4 elevated section due to roadworks. Towards Greenford buses will double run via A4 Great West Road with no stops missed. Towards Brentford buses will divert from Windmill Road via Great West Road and Boston Manor Road to line of route. These works will continue until mid-December 2023.
Due to the closure of Gloucester Avenue eastbound for Thames Water works, buses on route 274 towards Islington Angel are on diversion from Regents Park Road via St Mark's Square and Prince Albert Road to Parkway. Bus Stop K on Regents Park Road along with the eastbound stop on Gloucester Avenue will both be closed. The closure will be in place until January 2024.
Envoy Avenue in the Hatton Cross area is closed westbound while roadworks take place. Routes 90 towards Feltham, 285 towards Kingston and 423 heading towards Hounslow are diverted via the Eastern Perimeter Road and will be unable to serve bus stop M on Envoy Avenue, No change to buses in the eastbound direction. The closure will be in place until the end of January 2024.
North Acton Road in the Park Royal area is closed in both directions due to roadworks. Route 187 is diverting towards Central Middlesex Hospital after bus stop PA, named Waxlow Road, on Acton Lane via ahead Acton Lane direct to Central Middlesex Hospital. Towards Finchley Road buses are diverting from bus stop K at Park Royal Asda via Park Royal Road and Acton Lane re-joining the normal route from bus stop PN, named Waxlow Road. Buses will serve all stops along Acton Lane. The closure will be in place until the end of January 2024.
Due to major roadworks at Manor Circus roundabout in Richmond route 110 is currently diverted towards Hounslow direct via Kew Road between Kew Gardens and Richmond Circus. Route 110 is unable to serve Kew Gardens Road, Sandycombe Road or Lower Mortlake Road. Journeys towards Hammersmith are unaffected. Route R68 is currently running between Hampton Court Station and Twickenham, York Street only. Route R70 now runs between Hampton, Nurserylands and Kew Retail Park. Interchange between the R68 & R70 in both directions is on York Street in Twickenham. These works are due to finish sometime in the spring of 2024.
Route 394 is currently on diversion towards Homerton Hospital due to the closure of Wimbourne Street. Route 394 is diverting from Cropley Street via Eagle Wharf Road, New North Road, Baring Street, Bridport Place and Poole Street to New North Road. No stops will be missed. Buses towards Islington Angel will not be diverting and will remain on normal line of route. The diversion will now be in place until Summer 2024.
Due to road layout changes at Kensal Rise Station by the local borough, route 452 is suspended between Ladbroke Grove, Sainsbury's and Kensal Rise Station until further notice. Passengers should use route 52 between Ladbroke Grove, Sainsbury's and Kensal Rise Station. Route 452 continues to run as normal between Ladbroke Grove, Sainsbury's and Vauxhall Bus Station every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.
Due to the collapse of the carriageway on Station Approach at West Drayton Station buses are unable to serve the bus stops directly outside the northern entrance to West Drayton Station. For bus routes 222, 350, 698, U3 and U5 passengers should use bus stops H for southbound buses and stop G for northbound buses (both named Ferrers Road) on Station Road which is a short walk from the Warwick Road entrance to West Drayton station. Route U1 will set down at bus stop C and pick up from bus stop D on Horton Road. These arrangements will continue until the works to rectify the issues with the carriageway have been resolved.
Due to roadworks closing bus stops on Capitol Way in Colindale buses on route 292 are currently terminating at bus stop CX, named Carlisle Road, on Edgware Road. Towards Borehamwood buses on route 292 are currently starting at the temporary bus stop on Capitol Way located opposite the car park exit to Asda.
Due to the damage caused by a recent fire, Slough Bus Station is currently closed with bus route 81 unable to serve the Bus Station. Buses are terminating at bus stop H on Wellington Street opposite Tesco and picking up passengers from bus stop PQ outside Lloyds Bank on Slough High Street.
Park Street in Croydon is closed eastbound until further notice with routes 60, 109, 433, 455, 468, N68, N109 and N250 towards West or East Croydon diverting via Katharine Street and Park Lane. Buses are not serving stop KE on Park Street and using stop KC on Park Lane instead.
Katharine Street in Croydon is part closed westbound until further notice with routes 60, 119, 166, 312, 405, 407, 412, 455, 466, 468 and N68 are diverting via Fell Road, Park Lane Roundabout and Edridge Road.
