Bus changes

Timetable changes - 2 October 2021

Routes Affected: 38, 132, 148, 180, 290, N38 and U5

Route 38 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 5 minutes during the AM peak and PM peak on Monday to Fridays and during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays, every 6 minutes during the daytime on Sundays and every7-8 minutes during the evenings on all days of the week.

Route 132 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 148 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 180 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. Route 180 will be operated Stagecoach London from this date.

Route 290 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. Route 290 will be operated RATP London from this date.

Route N38 will have a new timetable on all nights of the week with minor changes to times.

Route U5 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels following the completion of town centre improvement works on Blyth Road in Hayes.

Timetable changes - 9 October 2021

Routes Affected: 3, 17, 24, 195, 245, 267, 332, 345, 381, 407, 601, 617, 629, 638, 667, N3, N381 and P13

Route 3 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 17 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 10 minutes during the AM peak and PM peak on Monday to Fridays and during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays.

Route 24 will have a new timetable on Friday and Saturday nights with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 195 which will widen the frequency of the service in the PM peak on Monday to Fridays to every 13 minutes. No change to the frequency at any other time. This is due to the roadworks in place on South Road in Southall.

Route 245 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 10 minutes during the AM peak and PM peak on Monday to Fridays and during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays.

Route 267 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route 332 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 345 will have a new timetable on Friday and Saturday nights with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route 381 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 407 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route 601 will have a new timetable with the PM school journey at 1523 from Wilmington Grammar School for Girls to Thamesmead retimed to depart Wilmington Grammar School for Girls at 1538 and run 15 minutes later throughout. The 1523 departure from Wilmington Grammar School for Boys to Thamesmead is also retimed to depart Wilmington Grammar School for Boys at 1538 and run 15 minutes later throughout.

Route 617 will have a new timetable with the PM school journeys retimed to depart St Igantius College at 1515 and 1525.

Route 629 will have a new timetable with the PM school journeys retimed to depart St Igantius College at 1515 and 1525.

Route 638 will have a new timetable with the PM school journeys from Kemnal College to Bromley South retimed to depart Kemnal College at 1440 and 1450. The 1510 departure from Chislehurst School for Girls to Bromley South will be retimed to depart at 1530 and run 20 minutes later. The current 1530 departure Chislehurst School for Girls to Coney Hall will be retimed to depart at 1535 and run 5 minutes later throughout.

Route 667 will have a new timetable with the AM peak journey at 0803 from Ilford to West Hatch School retimed to depart Ilford at 0743 and run 20 minutes earlier throughout.

Route P13 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route N3 will have a new timetable on Friday and Saturday nights with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route N381 will have a new timetable on Friday and Saturday nights with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Timetable changes - 23 October 2021

Routes Affected: 19, 42, 68, 88, 133, 135, 137, 149, 228, 235, 260, 349, 460, 487, G1, N19 and N133

Route 19 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 10 minutes at all times, on all days of the week, except on Saturday mornings before 0800 when buses will run every 12 minutes and on Sunday mornings before 0900 when buses will run every 15 minutes.

Route 42 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 15 minutes during the AM and PM peak on Monday to Fridays, during the daytime on Monday to Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and every 20 minutes during the evenings on all days of the week.

Route 68 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 8-9 minutes during the AM and PM peak on Monday to Fridays, every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays.

Route 88 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 10 minutes during the AM and PM peak on Monday to Fridays and during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 88 will continue to run throughout the night with a bus every 30 minutes on all nights of the week.

Route 133 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 7-8 minutes during the AM and PM peak on Monday to Fridays and during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays.

Route 135 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route 137 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route 149 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 7-8 minutes during the AM and PM peak on Monday to Fridays, every 8 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 10 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 149 will continue to run throughout the night with a bus every 30 minutes on Sunday to Thursday nights and every 15 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights.

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 228 which will widen the frequency in both the AM & PM peak on Monday to Fridays and during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays to every 24 minutes. No change to the frequency at any other time. This is due to HS2 related roadworks on Atlas Road causing severe delays in the area.

The temporary timetable on route 235 will be removed with the frequency of the service restored to run every 8 minutes during the AM and PM peak on Monday to Fridays and during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evening and all days on Sundays.

The temporary timetable on route 260 will be removed with the frequency of the service restored to run every 12 minutes during the AM and PM peak on Monday to Fridays and during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evening and all days on Sundays.

Route 349 will have a new timetable from this date which will see one less journey between Ponders End and Stamford Hill in both the AM & PM peak on Monday to Fridays and one less journey between Stamford Hill and Ponders End in the PM peak on Monday to Fridays. No change to the frequency of the service at any other time.

The temporary timetable on route 460 will be removed with the frequency of the service restored to run every 12 minutes during the AM peak and PM peak on Monday to Fridays and during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evening and all days on Sundays.

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 487 which will widen the frequency in both the AM & PM peak on Monday to Fridays and the daytime on Monday to Saturdays to every 13 minutes. No change to the frequency at any other time. This is due to HS2 related roadworks on Atlas Road causing severe delays in the area.

Route G1 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route N19 will have a new timetable on all nights of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route N133 will have a new timetable on all nights of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Hammersmith Bridge closure

Routes Affected: 33, 72, 209, 378, 419, 485, 533, N33 and N72  

Hammersmith Bridge is currently closed to all users, including people walking and cycling, for safety reasons.

Routes 33, 209 and 485 are starting and finishing at the junction of Castelnau and Lonsdale Road to the south of Hammersmith Bridge. Route 72 continues to terminate on the north side of Hammersmith Bridge.

Circular route 533 has been introduced running from Hammersmith Lower Bus Station via Chiswick Bridge, Mortlake High Street, Barnes Bridge Station, Lonsdale Road to Castlenau then returning to Hammersmith via Barnes High Street, Barnes Bridge Station, Mortlake High Street and Chiswick Bridge. Route 533 runs every 10 minutes in the AM and PM peak on Monday to Fridays and every 12 minutes during the daytime on all days of the week. The evening frequency on all days of the week will remain at a bus every 15 minutes. First buses depart Hammersmith at 0448 and Castelnau at 0510. Last buses depart Hammersmith at 0050 and Castelnau at 0110.

More buses have also been added to route 378 which runs between Mortlake, Barnes High Street and Putney Bridge Station every 7-8 minutes on Monday to Saturdays and every 10 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.

Route 419 is diverting at the southern end of Hammersmith Bridge to run to and from Roehampton, Bessborough Road replacing route 72 over this section. Route 419 runs every 12 minutes on Monday to Saturdays and every 20 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.

Route N33 is diverting between Barnes, Red Lion and Hammersmith Bus Station via Lower Richmond Road, Putney Bridge and Fulham Palace Road. Route N72 is diverting between Barnes Station and Hammersmith Bus Station via Lower Richmond Road, Putney Bridge and Fulham Palace Road.

Long Term Diversions

Routes Affected: 8, 11, 12, 25, 26, 28, 37, 44, 47, 60, 63, 68, 78, 81, 109, 119, 133, 166, 188, 189, 196, 197, 226, 245, 260, 306, 312, 319, 322, 343, 363, 405, 407, 412, 423, 433, 455, 460, 466, 468, EL1, EL3, G1, P12, P13, N1, N8, N11, N25, N26, N28, N44 N63, N68, N109, N133, N242, N250, N343 and N551.

As part of planned works for the new Barking Riverside development Fielders Crescent is closed. Route EL1 and the school journeys on route EL3 are starting and finishing at the road closure limit near to the new London Overground station development. Access to and from Riverside School is from the temporary terminus which is a short walk away from the main entrance. Bus services will be restored to the full length of Fielders Crescent once the road reopens at the end of November.

Threadneedle Street is closed until further notice eastbound only with routes 8, 11, 26, N8, N11, N26 and N242 diverting between Bank and Liverpool Street via Lombard Street, King William Street, Gracechurch Street and Bishopsgate . Routes 133 and N133 are diverting in both directions between Monument and Liverpool Street Bus Station via Gracechurch Street, Bishopsgate and Wormwood Street. Route N551 towards Trafalgar Square is diverting from Camomile Street via Bishopsgate and Threadneedle Street to Bank and towards Gallions Reach buses from Bank Station via Princes Street, Moorgate, South Place, Eldon Street and Blomfield Street to London Wall.

Rye Lane in Peckham is closed in both directions until October 2021 with routes 12, 37, 63, 78, 197, 343, 363, P12, N63 and N343 diverting via Copeland Road, Consort Road and Clayton Road with route P13 diverting via Lyndhurst Way, Peckham Road and Peckham High Street.

Park Street in Croydon is closed eastbound until further notice with routes 60, 109, 433, 455, 468, N68, N109 and N250 towards West or East Croydon diverting via Katharine Street and Park Lane. Buses are not serving stop KE on Park Street and using stop KC on Park Lane instead.

Katharine Street in Croydon is part closed westbound until further notice with routes 60, 119, 166, 312, 405, 407, 412, 455, 466, 468 and N68 are diverting via Fell Road, Park Lane Roundabout and Edridge Road.

Northcote Road is closed in both directions on Saturdays and Sundays until end of October 2021. Route 319 is diverting in both directions via Bolingbroke Grove and Battersea Rise. Route G1 is diverting in both directions to and from Broomwood Road via Bolingbroke Grove and Battersea Rise.

Cricklewood Lane is currently closed westbound for junction improvements works at Cricklewood Broadway until end of October 2021. Route 189 is diverted towards Marble Arch only between the bus stops at Brent Cross Bus Station and Sheldon Road on Chichele Road with buses diverting via Tilling Road, Staples Corner and Edgware Road to Cricklewood Broadway. Route 226 is diverted towards Ealing Broadway only between the bus stops at Cleveland Gardens on Pennine Drive and Sheldon Road on Chichele Road with buses diverting via Claremont Road, Tilling Road, Staples Corner, Edgware Road and Cricklewood Broadway to Chichele Road. Route 245 is diverted towards Alperton only between the bus stops at Claremont Road on Cricklewood Lane and Conway Road on Dollis Hill Lane with buses diverting via Claremont Road, Tilling Road, Staples Corner and Edgware Road to Dollis Hill Lane. Routes 260 & 460 are diverted towards Willesden only between the bus stops at Claremont Road on Cricklewood Lane and Sheldon Road on Chichele Road with buses diverting via Claremont Road, Tilling Road, Staples Corner and Edgware Road and Cricklewood Broadway to Chichele Road.

The slip road from Bath Road onto Colnbrook-by-Pass is currently closed eastbound for water main works until late December 2021. Route 81 is diverted towards Hounslow only between the bus stops at Moor Bridge and Pinglestone Close with buses diverting from Longford Roundabout via Stanwell Moor Road to Colnbrook-by-Pass. Route 423 is diverted towards Hounslow only between the bus stops at Heathrow Terminal 5 and Pinglestone Close with buses diverting from Longford Roundabout via Stanwell Moor Road to Colnbrook-by-Pass. Both routes will stop at bus stop S on Colnbrook-by-Pass (named Duke's Bridge) to pick up and set down passengers.

The contraflow bus lane northbound on Norwood Road at Tulse Hill has been closed to allow for a dangerous structure to be examined and fixed. Northbound buses on routes 68, 196, 322, 468 and N68 are diverting via the gyratory at Tulse Hill stopping at bus stop E on Christchurch Road to pick up and set down. The contraflow bus lane and bus stop F are expected to be closed until January 2022. 

North End Road in Fulham is closed southbound to allow for the remodelling of the market area. Routes 28, 306 and N28 are diverted from North End Road via Lillee Road, Munster Road and Dawes Road to Fulham Road. Buses will serve all stops to both set down and pick up on the diversionary route. North End Road is expected to reopen at the end of November 2021. 

Old York Road in Wandsworth is closed in both directions until January 2022 to allow National Rail to undertake works on the railway bridge. Routes 28, 44, N28 and N44 will divert via Swandon Way in both directions and will not be able to serve the bus stops at Wandsworth Town Station or Tonsley Street. Passengers requiring Wandsworth Town Station should instead use bus stops TB and TC (named Swandon Way) located on Swandon Way close to Wandsworth Roundabout.

Evelyn Street in Surrey Quays is closed in the westbound direction for cycle works. Routes 47 towards Catford, 188 towards North Greenwich and route N1 towards Thamesmead are diverted from Lower Road after Surrey Quays Station via Plough Way, Grove Street and Oxestalls Road to Evelyn Street. No change to buses heading towards Canada Water from Deptford. Buses will serve all bus stops on the diversion route to both set down and pick up. Evelyn Street is due to reopen in November 2021.
