You asked
Dear TFL FOI team,
On 26 April 2024 the following response was given in a news report on the issue of floating bus stops from the Labour candidate, Sadiq Khan, who said they were installed during his mayoralty because "a disproportionate number of cyclists" had been "injured and killed as a consequence of buses” in this online article - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-68883481.
Can you please release any information you hold that supports this assertion or describes the rate of cyclists injured and killed as a consequence of buses compared to other modes? Broken down by the following categories slight injuries, serious injuries and death.
The period is to cover between 2020 until the present date 20 May 2024.
Does TfL also hold information of the number of cyclists injuries by mode and miles driven?
