FOI Request - Product for transport

Request ID: FOI-0259-2324
Date published: 23 May 2023

You asked

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to you as a student of _______, currently working on _________. I would like to gather information from Transport for London regarding crime rates and safety issues across the country, specifically related to modes of transport where people are most commonly robbed. Firstly, I am interested in knowing if there has been any significant change in crime rates in the recent past, specifically the last two to three years. It would be helpful to receive any graphs/trends Additionally, I would like to know about any common complaints or issues that you face as an organisation in maintaining safety in transportation. Are there any issues that frequently arise such as how the person got robbed or any measures that perhaps were not in place in public transport or stations/bus stops nearby? Finally, as part of my project, I am exploring the possibility of creating a product that could help prevent crime and enhance community safety in transportation. I would like to know what features you would consider most important for such a product. What needs and wants would you require it to fulfil? I would be extremely grateful if you could spare some time to answer these questions and provide me with any additional information you may have. Your cooperation will be of great assistance in order to create a product which perhaps many people can use in the future. Thank you for your time and consideration.
