TfL is not able to offer free travel on New Year's Eve.
Events and attractions
- Get information about tickets for the New Year's Eve fireworks display in central London
- Do not go to the fireworks display without a ticket - you will not be allowed in

Central London
- To support the New Year's Eve fireworks display, there will be road closures in central London from early afternoon, with buses on diversion
- From 14:00, some bridges in central London will be closed to traffic
- If you need to cross the river in central London while bridges are closed, use Tube services, which will run all night

- Between Stratford and Gidea Park: 3 trains every hour
- Between Paddington National Rail station and Hayes & Harlington: 3 trains every hour
- No overnight service on the rest of the line (including the central section of the line and to/from Heathrow)
DLR

River bus
- Service finishes early
Walking
- From early afternoon, you will not be able to walk through certain areas of central London as roads are closed for the New Year's Eve fireworks
- From 14:00, some bridges in central London will be closed to people walking
- You may need to use the Tube to cross the river in central London (services will run all night).
Cycling
- Road and bridge closures may affect your journey
- You may have to dismount and walk in crowded areas
- Follow instructions from stewards and police
- Some Santander Cycle docking stations will be out of service until 18:00 on Tuesday 2 January
Driving
- From early afternoon, some roads in central London will be closed
- From 14:00, you will not be able to drive across some bridges
- The Congestion Charge does not operate today - you don't need to pay
- You may have to pay the ULEZ or LEZ if your vehicle doesn't meet emissions standards

Liverpool Street National Rail station
- Liverpool Street Tube station will operate as normal

- National Rail, London Overground and some Elizabeth line services will not run to/from Liverpool Street National Rail station today
