Route 28 - Timetable change

28  Wandsworth - Fulham - Kensington - Notting Hill Gate - Westbourne Park - Kensal Rise

From Saturday 11 January a new timetable will be introduced on route 28 to better reflect traffic conditions along the route.

The frequency of buses on route 28 will be reduced to every 11 minutes during the AM & PM peak and during the daytime on Monday to Fridays as well as during the daytime on Saturdays. On Sundays the frequency of route 28 will be reduced to every 13 minutes. There will be no change to the frequency of route 28 in the evening.

Route 49 - Timetable change

49  Clapham Junction - Battersea - Chelsea - Kensington - Shepherd's Bush - White City

From Saturday 11 January a new timetable will be introduced on route 49 to better reflect traffic conditions along the route.

A new timetable will be in place on Monday to Saturdays while on Sundays the frequency of buses will be altered slightly from every 10 to every 10-11 minutes.

Route 55 - Changes to boarding

55  Walthamstow Central - Leyton - Hackney - Shoreditch - Holborn - Oxford Circus

From Saturday 25 January 2020, customers will only be able to board route 55 using the front door. When you board through the front door, touch your Oyster card or contactless card/device on the yellow card reader, or show the driver a valid ticket. Wheelchair users and people travelling with pushchairs will still be able to board using the middle door.

Route 142 - Diversion

142  Watford Junction - Bushey - Stanmore - Edgware - Burnt Oak - Colindale - West Hendon - Brent Cross

From Monday 6 January until November 2020 routes 142 and 258 will be on diversion southbound only between Watford Junction Station and Beechen Grove in Watford Town Centre.

Routes 142 and 258 will be unable to serve stops along Clarendon Road with buses diverting via Station Road and St Albans Road.

Route 161 - Timetable change

161  Chislehurst - Mottingham - Eltham - Queen Elizabeth Hospital - Woolwich - Charlton - North Greenwich

From Saturday 8 February a revised timetable will be in operation on all days of the week on route 161 to better reflect actual journey times.

Route 170 - Frequency Increase

170  Roehampton - Putney Heath - Wandsworth - Clapham Junction - Battersea - Victoria

From Saturday 1 February a new timetable will be introduced on route 170 which will increase the frequency of the service on all days of the week to help with capacity issues in the Battersea Village area.

The frequency of buses on route 170 will be increased to run every 7-8 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and to every 12 minutes both during the daytime on Sundays and in the evening on all days of the week.

Route 258 - Diversion

258  Watford Junction - Bushey - Bushey Heath - Harrow Weald - Wealdstone - Harrow - South Harrow

From Monday 6 January until November 2020 routes 142 and 258 will be on diversion southbound only between Watford Junction Station and Beechen Grove in Watford Town Centre.

Route 307 - Diversion

307  Brimsdown - Ponders End - Enfield - Oakwood - East Barnet - Barnet - Barnet General Hospital

From Monday 6 January until April 2020 route 307 will be on diversion in both directions between Brimsdown Station and Hertford Road junction of Green Street in Enfield Highway.

Route 307 will divert via the current 191 route via Brimsdown Avenue, Bell Lane, Eastfield Road and Hertford Road. Route 307 will be unable to serve stops along Green Lane.

Route 323 - Timetable change

323  Canning Town - Twelvetrees Crescent - Bromley-by-Bow - Devons Road DLR Station - Mile End

From Saturday 11 January a new timetable will be introduced on route 323. The following early morning and late evening journeys will be withdrawn from this date:

  • 0420, 0440, 0050, 0110 and 0130 departures from Canning Town to Mile End on every day of the week.
  • 0420, 0440, 0050, 0110 and 0130 departures from Mile End to Canning Town on Monday to Saturdays and 0410, 0430, 0050, 0110 and 0130 departures from Mile End to Canning Town on Sundays.

Route 328 - Timetable change

328  Golders Green - West Hampstead - Kilburn - Maida Hill - Notting Hill Gate - Kensington - Chelsea

From Saturday 11 January a new timetable will be introduced on route 328 to better reflect traffic conditions along the route.

The frequency of buses on route 328 will be reduced to every 11 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays. There will be no change to the frequency of route 328 during the AM or PM peak, during the evenings or on weekends.

Route 424 - Timetable change

424  Putney Heath - Putney - Hurlingham - Sands End - Fulham Broadway - Munster Road - Fulham, Craven Cottage

From Saturday 25 January a new timetable will be introduced on route 424 to better reflect traffic conditions along the route.

The frequency of buses on route 424 will be reduced to every 35 minutes after 1300 on Monday to Saturdays. Buses will continue to operate every 30 minutes before 1300.

Route 497 - New route

497  Harold Wood - St Clements Avenue - Gallows Corner Tesco - Ashton Road - Chatteris Avenue - Harold Hill

From Saturday 25 January new route 497 will be introduced between Harold Wood Station and Harold Hill, Hilldene Avenue. Buses will run via St Clements Avenue, Gallows Corner Tesco, Ashton Road, Faringdon Avenue, Chatteris Avenue and Hilldene Avenue.

Route 497 will run every 30 minutes during the AM & PM peak and during the daytime on Monday to Fridays as well as during the daytime on Saturdays. Route 497 will run hourly during the early morning and after 2100 on Monday to Saturdays and all day on Sundays.

First buses depart Harold Hill, Hilldene Avenue at 0540 (0640 on Sundays) and Harold Wood Station at 0600 (0700 on Sundays). Last buses depart Harold Hill, Hilldene Avenue at 2340 and Harold Wood Station at 2400.

Route 497 will operate on a hail and ride basis along the following roads: St Clements Avenue, Lister Avenue and Chatteris Avenue. Along these roads buses on route 497 will stop to pick up and set down only when the driver feels it is safe to do so.

Route 663 - Timetable change

663  Thornton Heath - Purley Way - Waddon - Harris Academy

From Monday 13 January a revised PM schooldays only timetable will be in operation on route 663.

The PM journey from Harris Academy will be retimed to depart at 1516 and run 9 minutes later throughout its journey. No change to the times of the AM journey.

Route N55 - Changes to boarding

N55  Woodford Wells - Wanstead - Leyton - Hackney - Shoreditch - Holborn - Oxford Circus

Route W8 - New first/last stop

W8  Chase Farm Hospital - Lancaster Road - Enfield - Church Street - Edmonton Green - Picketts Lock

From Saturday 18 January route W8 will start and finish at a new bus stop located within the grounds of Chase Farm Hospital.

The new bus stop will be located closer to the Main Entrance of the hospital and opens following the completion of highway works within the hospital grounds.

There will be no change to the timetable of route W8.
 

Route W9 - New first/last stop

W9  Chase Farm Hospital - Enfield - Grange Park - Highlands Village - Winchmore Hill - Southgate

From Saturday 18 January route W9 will start and finish at a new bus stop located within the grounds of Chase Farm Hospital.

The new bus stop will be located closer to the Main Entrance of the hospital and opens following the completion of highway works within the hospital grounds.

There will be no change to the timetable of route W9.
