Bus changes

Changes to routes 77 & 211 - 29 June 2024

From Saturday 29 June route 211 will be changed to run from Hammersmith Upper Bus Station to Battersea Power Station via Charing Cross Hospital, Fulham Broadway, King's Road, Sloane Square and Chelsea Bridge. Route 77 will now start and finish on the Upper Taxi Road at Waterloo Station.

Route 211 will now run from Hammersmith Upper Bus Station via its current route to Sloane Square where it will be rerouted via Lower Sloane Street, Chelsea Bridge Road, Chelsea Bridge, Queenstown Road, Queen's Circus, Prince Of Wales Drive and Battersea Park Road to terminate at Battersea Power Station. The current section of route between Sloane Square and Waterloo will no longer be served by route 211 however passengers can still use route 11 which will cover the withdrawn section of route 211. Passengers can interchange between the 11 and 211 in both directions at the Sloane Square bus stops located on Lower Sloane Street.

Route 211 will continue to run every 8-9 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays, every 10 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays. 

First buses on route 211 will continue to depart Hammersmith Bus Station at 0505 and from Battersea Power Station at 0525 on all days of the week. Last buses will depart Hammersmith Upper Bus Station at 2400 and from Battersea Power Station at 0010 on all days of the week.

Route 77 will have its routeing and stops amended at Waterloo Station. Towards Waterloo route 77 will no longer serve bus stop F at County Hall or the current last stop on Concert Hall Approach. Instead, buses will be rerouted via Station Approach Road to Cab Road setting down by entrance / exit number 3 at Waterloo mainline station. 

On departure to Tooting route 77 buses will pick up from bus stop B on Cab Road before re-joining the current routeing on York Road. Route 77 buses will no longer pick up from bus stop T on Concert Hall Approach. 

There will be a minor timetable change on route 77 to reflect the new routeing however no change to the departure times of first and last buses on any day of the week. The route will continue to run every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.

Changes to buses from Saturday 22 June 2024

The following timetable changes will take place from Saturday 22 June

The temporary timetable will be removed from 24 hour route 57 with the service returning to run every 12 minutes during both the daytime and evenings on all days of the week. The night service will continue to run every 30 minutes on all nights of the week.

Route 120 will have a new timetable from this date minor changes to times. The early morning frequency will be increased to a bus every 20 minutes before 0600 on Monday to Fridays, 0730 on Saturdays and 0900 on Sundays. The evening frequency will also be increased to every 12 minutes on all days of the week. No change to the frequency at any other time.

Route 143 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

The temporary timetable will be removed from route 201 with the service returning to run every 15 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays , every 20 minutes during the daytime on Sundays and every 30 minutes during the evening on all days of the week.

The temporary timetable will be removed from 24 hour route 213 with the service returning to run every 12 minutes during both the daytime and evenings on all days of the week. The night service will continue to run every 30 minutes on all nights of the week.

Route 260 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

The temporary timetable will be removed from route 270 with the service returning to run every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.

Route 302 will have a new timetable from this date minor changes to times. The early morning frequency will be increased to a bus every 12 minutes before 0700 on Monday to Fridays, 0800 on Saturdays and from first to last bus on Sundays. No change to the frequency at any other time. The times of first buses will change on all days of the week. Buses will now depart Mill Hill Broadway for Kensal Rise at 0505 (instead of 0530 on Monday to Saturdays and 0625 on Sundays) and from Kensal Rise to Mill Hill Broadway at 0500 (instead of 0545 on Monday to Saturdays and 0635 on Sundays).

Route R68 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route R70 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Changes to buses from Saturday 29 June 2024

The following timetable changes will take place from Saturday 29 June

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 31 which will widen the frequency of the service to a bus every 12 minutes during the daytime and evening on all days of the week. This temporary timetable will give buses more time to complete journeys during HS2 works on Kilburn High Road.

24-hour route 85 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels. Buses will now run every 10 minutes during both the daytime and evening on all days of the week. The night service will continue to run every 30 minutes on all nights of the week.

The temporary timetable will be removed from 24 hour route 88 with the service returning to run every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays. The night service will continue to run every 30 minutes on all nights of the week.

Route 328 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 406 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 418 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 440 will have a new timetable from this date with minor changes to times. The Sunday daytime frequency will be increased to a bus every 15 minutes and the evening frequency will also be increased to every 20 minutes on all days of the week. No change to the frequency at any other time. The times of first buses will also change on all days of the week from this date. First buses on route 440 will now depart at 0500 from Turnham Green to Wembley Stadium instead of at 0555 on Monday to Saturdays and 0655 on Sundays. First buses from Wembley Stadium to Turnham Green will now depart at 0500 instead of at 0555 on Monday to Saturdays and 0720 on Sundays.

Route 465 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. Route 465 will be operated by Transport UK from this date.

Route C1 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

The temporary timetable will be removed from route H91 with the service returning to run every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.

Long term diversions

Routes Affected: 17, 25, 40, 57, 63, 65, 71, 81, 85, 110, 111, 131, 153, 213, 216, 222, 281, 285, 341, 350, 360, 371, 394, 406, 411, 418, 452, 465, 481, 671, 698, C1, E2, K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, N21, N63, N65, N87, N137, R68, R70, U1, U3 and U5.

Route 394 is currently on diversion towards Homerton Hospital due to the closure of Wimbourne Street. Route 394 is diverting from Cropley Street via Eagle Wharf Road, New North Road, Baring Street, Bridport Place and Poole Street to New North Road. No stops will be missed. Buses towards Islington Angel will not be diverting and will remain on normal line of route. The diversion will now be in place until Summer 2024.

Kingston Cromwell Road bus station is closed until Summer 2024. Buses which normally stop in the bus station or on Cromwell Road are serving temporary stops, diverting or stopping short of their normal destinations. Stops A1 to A16 and Z1 as well as stop R on Wood Street are closed for the duration of the works. Two new temporary bus stops with shelters are located to the east of the bus station on Cromwell Road. Due to gas main works Farringdon Street is closed northbound between Ludgate Circus and Charterhouse Street until early September. Route 17 is diverted towards Archway from bus stop F at City Thameslink Station via Fleet Street, Fetter Lane and New Fetter Lane to Holborn Circus. Routes 40, 63 & N63 are diverted towards Farringdon from bus stop J at Blackfriars Station via Fleet Street, Fetter Lane, New Fetter Lane, Holborn Circus and Charterhouse Street to Farringdon Road re-joining normal route at bus stop A at Farringdon Station. Route 341 is diverting towards Meridian Water from bus stop L at The Royal Courts of Justice via Fetter Lane, New Fetter Lane, Holborn Circus and Charterhouse Street to Farringdon Road re-joining normal route at bus stop A at Farringdon Station. Route 25 is curtailed to St Paul's Station from Ilford. Buses are setting down at bus stop SQ and picking up from bus stop ST on Newgate Street. The stops at City Thameslink Station are not being served.

Beech Street in the Barbican area is currently closed westbound due to building works. Route 153 towards Finsbury Park is diverting after leaving Liverpool Street Bus Station with buses going via London Wall and Aldersgate Street to Barbican Station to get back on route. The stops on Moorgate and Chiswell Street will not be served. There is no change to the route towards Finsbury Park. This closure will be in place until November 2024.

Due to road layout changes at Kensal Rise Station by the local borough, route 452 is suspended between Ladbroke Grove, Sainsbury's and Kensal Rise Station until further notice. Passengers should use route 52 between Ladbroke Grove, Sainsbury's and Kensal Rise Station. Route 452 continues to run as normal between Ladbroke Grove, Sainsbury's and Vauxhall Bus Station every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.

Due to the collapse of the carriageway on Station Approach at West Drayton Station buses are unable to serve the bus stops directly outside the northern entrance to West Drayton Station. For bus routes 222, 350, 698, U3 and U5 passengers should use bus stops H for southbound buses and stop G for northbound buses (both named Ferrers Road) on Station Road which is a short walk from the Warwick Road entrance to West Drayton station. Route U1 will set down at bus stop C and pick up from bus stop D on Horton Road. These arrangements will continue until the works to rectify the issues with the carriageway have been resolved.

Due to the damage caused by a recent fire, Slough Bus Station is currently closed with bus route 81 unable to serve the Bus Station. Buses are terminating at bus stop H on Wellington Street opposite Tesco and picking up passengers from bus stop PQ outside Lloyds Bank on Slough High Street.
