Bus changes

Route 347 withdrawn from Saturday 18 January 2025 

From Saturday 18 January route 347 which runs between Romford Station and Ockendon Station, will be withdrawn. 

Route 346 provides an alternative service between St Mary's Lane in Cranham and Harold Wood Station as well as to the Tesco at Gallows Corner. Routes 174, 248, 294, 370, 498 and 499 provide alternative services over various parts of route 347. Non-TfL bus route 269 also provides an alternative between North Ockendon and Ockendon Station.

Trafalgar Square closures from 06:00 Monday 6 January 2025 

From 06:00 Monday 6 January until 22:00 Thursday 9 January Trafalgar Square will be partly closed in two phases for resurfacing.

The following routes will be diverted or stop short of their normal destinations: 9, 12, 15, 23, 24, 26, 29, 87, 88, 91, 139, 159,176, 453, N3, N5, N9, N11, N15, N18, N20, N21, N26, N41, N44, N53, N87, N89, N97, N109, N113, N136, N155, N199, N279, N343, N550, and N551  

Phase one: 

From 06:00 Monday 6 January until 06:00 Wednesday 8 January.

Trafalgar Square will be closed northbound between Whitehall and Cockspur Street

Routes 9, 23, and N9 towards Hammersmith, Westbourne Park and Heathrow: 

Stop H at Aldwych/Bush House or stop Z at Regent Street/St James's 

Routes 12, 159, N3, N109 and N136 both directions:

Will start and finish from Whitehall/Horse Guards Parade 

Routes 15, 91, N21, N89, N91, N199, N343 N550 and N551 both directions: 

Will start and finish from Aldwych 

Route 24 towards Hampstead: 

Stop R Victoria Street or stop C at Tottenham Court Road Station 

Route 24 towards Pimlico:  Stop D at Trafalgar Square/Charing Cross Station or stop at Whitehall/Horse Guards Parade

Route 29 both directions: Will start and finish from Warren Street 

Routes 87, N44 and N87 towards Aldwych:

Route 88 towards Parliament Hill: 

Stop W at Great Smith St/Westminster Abbey or stop E at Regent Street/Piccadilly Circus 

Route 139 towards Golders Green:

Route 176 towards Tottenham Court Road:

Route 453 towards Marylebone:  Stop A at Westminster Bridge Rd/Lower Marsh or stop Z at Regent Street/St James's 

Routes N18, N97 and N113 towards Trafalgar Square: 

Will terminate at stops R and P on Haymarket 

Routes N18, N97 and N113 towards Harrow Weald, Hammersmith and Edgware:

Will start and finish from Tottenham Court Road
