South East London bus improvements - 14 May 2022

Routes Affected: 129, 180, 469, 472 and B11

We have made some changes to bus routes in the South East London area which are detailed below.

Route 129 has been extended from Greenwich Town Centre to Lewisham Shopping Centre via Greenwich High Road, Greenwich South Street and Lewisham Road replacing route 180 over this section of route. Route 129 runs every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 20 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 180 now runs between North Greenwich Bus Station and Erith Quarry. Buses have been rerouted at Charlton Station to run to North Greenwich via Anchor & Hope Lane, Bugsby's Way, Millennium Leisure Park, Southern Way and West Parkside. Route 180 has also been extended from Mulberry Way in the Belvedere Industrial Area via Church Manorway, Lower Road, West Street, Erith Town Centre and Bexley Road to Fraser Road with buses terminating at the entrance to the Erith Quarry housing development. Route 180 no longer runs between Charlton Station and Lewisham Town Centre. For Greenwich Town Centre change at Stone Lake Retail Park to route 177. For Lewisham Town Centre change at Millennium Leisure Park to route 129. Route 180 also no longer serves Fishers Way or Crabtree Manorway in Belvedere. Route 180 runs every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 469 has been rerouted between Abbey Wood Station and Belvedere Station via New Road, Woolwich Road and Picardy Road. Abbey Road and Gilbert Road are no longer served but route 229 continues to provide a service along these roads. Route 469 runs every 15 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 20 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 472 now runs between North Greenwich Bus Station and Abbey Wood Station. Route 472 has been extended from Cannon Retail Park in Thamesmead to Abbey Wood Station via Central Way, Crossway, Carlyle Road and Harrow Manorway with buses starting and finishing on Gayton Road. Bentham Road in Thamesmead is no longer served but routes 244 and 301 continue to provide a service along this road. Route 472 has also been rerouted between Plumstead Bus Garage and Central Way via Western Way and Belmarsh Prison. Nathan Way and Eastern Way are no longer be served by route 472 but route 301 continues to serve these roads providing a link to both Thamesmead and Woolwich. Route 472 runs every 8 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays, every 10 minutes during the evenings on Monday to Fridays and all day on Saturdays, every 12 minutes throughout the day on Sundays and every 30 minutes between 0100 and 0400 on all nights of the week. Route B11 has been revised to run between Bexleyheath Bus Garage and South Thamesmead, Yarnton Way / Harrow Manorway. Route 401 continues to provide a service between Yarnton Way and Thamesmead. Route B11 runs every 20 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 30 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Newham area bus improvements - 21 May 2022

Routes Affected:  101, 104, 241, 262, 300, 304, 330, 376 and 474

From Saturday 21 May we will be making some changes to bus routes in the Newham area.

Route 101 will be revised to run between Wanstead Station and Beckton Bus Station only. Route 262 will continue to provide a service between Beckton Bus Station and Gallions Reach Shopping Park. Route 101 will run every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 104 will be changed to run between Stratford Bus Station and Beckton Bus Station. Buses will be rerouted at Lonsdale Avenue via High Street South and Woolwich Manor Way to Beckton Bus Station. New route 304 will replace route 104 between Lonsdale Avenue and Manor Park Station. Route 104 will run every 8 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 241 will be changed to run between Stratford City Bus Station and Prince Regent Bus Station. Buses will be rerouted at Custom House Station via Victoria Dock Road to Prince Regent Bus Station. Revised route 474 will replace route 241 between Custom House Station and Canning Town, Barking Road. Route 241 will run every 10 minutes during the AM & PM peaks on Monday to Fridays and during the daytime on Saturdays, every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays and every 20 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 241 will be extended to the Royal Wharf development once road layout changes have been successfully completed by the developer Ballymore. Route 262 will be revised to run between Stratford Bus Station and Gallions Reach Shopping Park only. Route 366 will continue to provide a service between East Beckton Sainsbury's and Gallions Reach Shopping Park. Route 262 will run every 11 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 300 will be rerouted between Beckton District Park and the junction of Barking Road and New Barn Street in Plaistow. Route 300 will be rerouted via Tollgate Road, Prince Regent Lane, Victoria Dock Road, Custom House Station, Freemasons Road and New Barn Street to Barking Road. Stansfeld Road and Prince Regent Bus Station will no longer be served along with Prince Regent Lane between Tollgate Road and Barking Road and Barking Road between Prince Regent Lane and New Barn Street. Route 300 will also serve bus stops on Prince Regent Lane between Tollgate Road and Victoria Dock Road in the opposite direction to now. This means if you use the northbound stops for route 300 towards Canning Town you will now need to use the southbound bus stops instead on the opposite side of the road with buses towards East Ham now serving the northbound bus stops instead. Route 300 will run every 15 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 20 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. New route 304 will be introduced running between Manor Park Station and Custom House Station running every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 304 will replace current route 104 between Manor Park Station and Lonsdale Avenue before going to Custom House Station via Boundary Lane, Newham University Hospital, Glen Road, Prince Regent Lane, and Victoria Dock Road. First buses depart Custom House Station at 0430 (0525 Sundays) and Manor Park Station at 0455 (0545 Sundays) with last buses at 0100 from both ends of the route. Route 330 will be extended from its current terminus at Canning Town Bus Station to Pontoon Dock / Thames Barrier Park via Silvertown Way, West Silvertown DLR Station and North Woolwich Road replacing route 474 over this section of route. Route 330 will run every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 20 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 376 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays, every 20 minutes during the evenings on Monday to Saturdays and every 30 minutes all day long on Sundays. First buses on Sundays will be earlier departing East Ham, Newham Town Hall at 0620 and from Beckton Bus Station at 0625.

24-hour route 474 will be rerouted between Connaught Bridge and Canning Town Bus Station. Route 474 will now run via Prince Regent Bus Station, Victoria Dock Road, Custom House Station, Munday Road, Radland Road (towards Canning Town) or Appleby Road (towards Manor Park), Tarling Road, Jude Street and Silvertown Way to Canning Town Bus Station. Route 474 will no longer serve West Silvertown DLR Station, North Woolwich Road or Pontoon Dock DLR Station, route 330 will provide a service over this section instead between 0515 (0615 on Sundays) and 0030 only. Route 474 will run every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route S1 route change - 14 May 2022

Route Affected: S1

We have made some changes to route S1 which are detailed below.

Route S1 has been rerouted between Mitcham Junction and St Helier Hospital in both directions. Buses on route S1 now run from Goat Road via Middleton Road, Middleton Circle, Green Wrythe Lane, Bishopsford Road and Rose Hill Roundabout to Wrythe Lane and St Helier Hospital. Peterborough Road, Revesby Road, Middleton Road west of Middleton Circle and Robertsbridge Road are no longer be served. Green Wrythe Lane is served in the opposite direction to how buses used to run.

Route S1 has also been rerouted in the Belmont area. Buses on route S1 now run via Cotswold Road between Chiltern Road and Sutton Lane allowing buses to better serve Royal Marsden Hospital. Route S1 no longer serves Brighton Road, Belmont Station and Downs Road.

A new timetable is in place on route S1 with buses running every 15 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 20 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays.

Route 497 extension - 4 June 2022

Route Affected: 497

From Saturday 4 June we will be making some changes to route 497.

The route will be extended from its current terminus on Hilldene Avenue in Harold Hill via Dagnam Park Drive, Leamington Drive and Petersfield Avenue to terminate on Dagnam Park Drive at the same location as route 174 terminates at. Towards Harold Wood Station buses will run via Dagnam Park Drive back to Hilldene Avenue.

A new timetable will be in place on route 497 with buses continuing to run every 30 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 60 minutes after 2100 each night. Unfortunately, due to low usage we will be withdrawing the Sunday service on route 497 from this date.

Timetable changes - 21 May 2022

Routes Affected:  9, 23, 35, 100, 130, 135, 153, 172, 261, 273, 278, 343, 364, 396, 414, 432, 433, 482, 655, N9, N97 and U5

Route 9 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 23 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 12 minutes during both the daytime as well as during the evenings on all days. Route 23 will also continue to run every 30 minutes on all nights of the week.

Route 35 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route 100 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 130 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 135 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. Route 135 will be operated Tower Transit from this date.

Route 153 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 172 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 261 which will widen the frequency of the service during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays to every 14 minutes, to every 17 minutes during the daytime on Sundays and to every 22 minutes during the evenings. This is due to water main replacement works on Westhorne Avenue in Eltham.

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 273 which will widen the frequency of the service during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays to every 21 minutes and to every 31 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. The first buses departing Lewisham Tesco towards Petts Wood on Monday to Fridays will be temporary changed to depart earlier at 0550 (instead of 0559), 0620 (instead of 0628) and 0640 (instead of 0642). On Saturdays the first bus from Lewisham Tesco towards Petts Wood will be temporarily retimed to depart at 0550 (instead of 0600). This is all due to water main replacement works taking place on Westhorne Avenue in Eltham.

Route 278 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 343 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route 364 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 396 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 414 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 432 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 433 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 482 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 655 will have a new timetable with the afternoon journey from Raynes Park High School to Mitcham retimed from 1525 to depart at 1515 and run 10 minutes earlier throughout its journey.

Route N9 will be temporarily increased to a bus every 20 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights until the night tube on the Piccadilly line restarts.

Route N97 will be temporarily increased to a bus every 20 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights until the night tube on the Piccadilly line restarts.

Route U5 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Timetable changes - 28 May 2022

Routes Affected:  8, 90, 177, 205, N8 and N205

Route 8 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 7-8 minutes during both the AM & PM peak on Monday to Fridays as well as during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 10 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays.

Route 90 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route 177 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Route 205 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 10 minutes during both the AM & PM peak on Monday to Fridays as well as during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays.

Route N8 will have a new timetable on all nights of the week with minor changes to times.

Route N205 will have a new timetable on all nights of the week with minor changes to times.

On Sunday 29 May 2022 the Ride London cycling event will be taking place across Central and East London, as well as passing into Essex, causing delay and disruption to bus services across the area through multiple road closures and displacement of traffic, with road closures starting from the early hours of Sunday morning and stretching through until late Sunday evening.

Route 1 will run between Waterloo Station and Canada Water Bus Station only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 3 will run between Lambeth Palace and Crystal Palace from first bus until around 2215.

Route 4 will run between Barbican Station / Museum Of London and Archway Station only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 5 will be diverted in both directions between Plaistow, Barking Road / Prince Regent Lane, and Canning Town Bus Station from first bus until around 1930. Buses will divert via Prince Regent Lane, A13 Newham Way and East India Dock Road. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 6 will run between Hyde Park Corner and Willesden Bus Garage only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 8 will run between Liverpool Street Station and Bow Church only from 0700 until around 1830. Also, from first bus until 1930 route 8 will be diverted in both directions between Roman Road / Grove Road and Bow Church with buses unable to serve the eastern end of Roman Road, St Stephen's Road, Old Ford Road, Parnell Road, Tredegar Road or the A12. Buses will instead divert via Grove Road, Mile End Station and Mile End Road. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 9 will run between Hyde Park Corner and Hammersmith Bus Station only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 11 will run between Victoria Station and Fulham Broadway only from first bus until around 2000.

Route 12 will run between County Hall and Dulwich Library only from around 0300 until around 2000.

Route 14 will be diverted in both directions between Hyde Park Corner and Tottenham Court Road Station from 0700 until around 2000. Buses will divert via Park Lane, Marble Arch, Oxford Street, Oxford Circus and New Oxford Street. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 15 will run between Aldgate Bus Station and Blackwall Station only from first bus until around 2000.

Route 17 will run between Kings Cross Station and Archway Station only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 19 will be diverted in both directions between Hyde Park Corner and Tottenham Court Road Station from 0700 until around 2000. Buses will divert via Park Lane, Marble Arch, Oxford Street, Oxford Circus and New Oxford Street. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 20 will be diverted in both directions between Waterworks Corner and Hillyfields in Debden from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via North Circular Road, M11, Chigwell Lane and Rectory Lane to Hillyfields. Please note that there are no bus stops on this diversionary route. Passengers for Loughton should change to the Central line at Debden Station or walk from Hillyfields.

Route 21 will be diverted in both directions between Monument and Moorgate, Finsbury Square from 0745 until around 1830. Buses will divert towards Newington Green via Gracechurch Street, Bishopsgate, Wormwood Street and London Wall to Moorgate. Towards Lewisham buses will divert via South Place, Eldon Street, Blomfield Street, London Wall, Wormwood Street, Bishopsgate and Gracechurch Street to King William Street. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 22 will run between Hyde Park Corner and Putney Common only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 24 from 0300 until 0700 buses will divert in both directions between Victoria Station and Trafalgar Square with buses diverting via Grosvenor Place, Hyde Park Corner, Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket and Cockspur Street. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route. Then from 0700 until around 2200 route 24 will run in two separate sections, Tottenham Court Road Station to Hampstead Heath and Victoria Station to Pimlico. Passengers should use routes 38 or 390 between Victoria Station and Tottenham Court Road Station.

Route 25 will run between Stratford Bus Station and Ilford only from first bus until around 2000. Please use the Central line or Elizabeth line services west of Stratford.

Route 26 will run between Liverpool Street Station and Hackney Wick only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 29 will run between Tottenham Court Road Station and Wood Green Station only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 38 will be diverted in both directions between Hyde Park Corner and Tottenham Court Road Station from 0700 until around 2000. Buses will divert via Park Lane, Marble Arch, Oxford Street, Oxford Circus and New Oxford Street. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 42 will be diverted in both directions between Bricklayers Arms Roundabout and Liverpool Street Station from first bus until around 2000. Buses will divert via Great Dover Street, Borough Station, Borough High Street, London Bridge and Gracechurch Street to Bishopsgate. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 43 will be diverted in both directions between Monument and Moorgate, Finsbury Square from 0745 until around 1830. Buses will divert towards Newington Green via Gracechurch Street, Bishopsgate, Wormwood Street and London Wall to Moorgate. Towards Lewisham buses will divert via South Place, Eldon Street, Blomfield Street, London Wall, Wormwood Street, Bishopsgate and Gracechurch Street to King William Street. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 46 will run between Kings Cross Station and Paddington Station only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 59 will run between Waterloo Station and Streatham Hill, Telford Avenue only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 66 will be diverted in both directions between Green Man Roundabout and Wanstead Station from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Bush Road, Blake Hall Road and Cambridge Park. Wanstead High Street and New Wanstead will not be served. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 68 will run between Waterloo Station and West Norwood only from 0700 until around 2200.

Route 69 will run between Stratford Bus Station and Walthamstow Central Bus Station only from 0300 until around 1830.

Route 76 will run between London Wall / Museum of London and Tottenham Hale Bus Station only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 78 will be diverted in both directions between Grange Road / Tower Bridge Road and Liverpool Street Station from first bus until around 2000. Buses will divert via Tower Bridge Road, Bricklayers Arms Roundabout, Great Dover Street, Borough Station, Borough High Street, London Bridge and Gracechurch Street to Bishopsgate. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 86 will be diverted between Romford Road / University of East London and Stratford Bus Station towards Stratford only from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Stratford Broadway and Great Eastern Road. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 87 will run between Lambeth Bridge and Wandsworth from first bus until around 2215.

Route 88 will be diverted in both directions between Marsham Street / Horseferry Road and Oxford Circus from 0300 until around 2000. Buses will divert via Horseferry Road, Greycoat Place, Artillery Row, Victoria Street, Grosvenor Gardens, Grosvenor Place, Hyde Park Corner, Park Lane, Marble Arch, Oxford Street, Oxford Circus and New Oxford Street. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 91 will run between Russell Square and Crouch End only from 0700 until around 2000.

Route 100 will be suspended from first bus until around 1915 due to the amount of road closures along the route. Passengers are advised to use the DLR between Shadwell and Tower Gateway.

Route 104 will be diverted in both directions between Portway / Amity Road and Stratford Bus Station from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Vicarage Lane, Romford Road, Stratford Broadway and Great Eastern Road. West Ham Lane and Densham Road will not be served. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 108 will be diverted in both directions between Bow Church Station and Stratford City Bus Station from 0345 until around 1830. Buses will divert via Fairfield Road, Tredegar Road, Wick Lane, Wansbeck Road, Rothbury Road, White Post Lane, Clarnico Lane, Waterden Road and Westfield Avenue. Pool Street, Carpenters Road and Stratford High Street will not be served. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 115 will be diverted in both directions between Plaistow, Barking Road / Prince Regent Lane and South Bromley / Abbot Lane from first bus until around 1930. Buses will divert via Prince Regent Lane, A13 Newham Way and East India Dock Road. Canning Town Bus Station will not be served for Canning Town please use route 5 or the DLR. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 139 will run between Oxford Circus and Golders Green Bus Station only from 0700 until around 2000.

Route 141 will be diverted in both directions between Monument and Moorgate, Finsbury Square from 0745 until around 1830. Buses will divert towards Newington Green via Gracechurch Street, Bishopsgate, Wormwood Street and London Wall to Moorgate. Towards Lewisham buses will divert via South Place, Eldon Street, Blomfield Street, London Wall, Wormwood Street, Bishopsgate and Gracechurch Street to King William Street. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 145 will be diverted between Green Man Roundabout and Wanstead Station towards Dagenham, Asda only from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Bush Road, Blake Hall Road and Cambridge Park. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 147 will be diverted in both directions between Prince Regent Lane / Newham Way and Canning Town Bus Station from first bus until around 1930. Buses will divert via A13 Newham Way and East India Dock Road. Please note that there are no bus stops on this diversionary route.

Route 148 will be diverted in both directions between Victoria Street / Westminster City Hall and Lower Marsh from 0300 until around 2000. Buses will divert via, Artillery Row, Greycoat Place, Horseferry Road, Lambeth Bridge and Lambeth Palace Road to Westminster Bridge Road. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route. St Thomas' Hospital will be served via the bus stops on Lambeth Palace Road instead of Westminster Bridge Road during the road closures.

Route 150 will be diverted between Hainault, New North Road / The Lowe and Chigwell Row / Lambourne Road towards Chigwell Row only from 0700 until around 1830. Buses will divert via Bush Road, Blake Hall Road and Cambridge Park. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 159 will run between County Hall and Streatham Station only from around 0300 until around 2000.

Route 167 will run between Barkingside, Fulwell Cross and Ilford, Hainault Street from first bus until around 1845.

Route 168 will run between Russell Square and Hampstead Heath only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 172 will run between Waterloo Station and Brockley Rise only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 176 will run between Waterloo Station and Penge only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 179 will be diverted in both directions between Charlie Brown Roundabout and Station Road / Balgonie Road in Chingford from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via North Circular Road, Wadham Road, Winchester Road, Highams Park Station and Larkshall Road to Kings Road. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route except stop P (High Road / South Woodford) on North Circular Road heading towards Chingford. For South Woodford or Woodford Green alight or board at stop T (named on Mulberry Way).

Route 188 will run between Waterloo Station and North Greenwich Bus Station only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 211 will be diverted in both directions between Victoria Street / Westminster City Hall and Waterloo Station from 0300 until around 2000. Buses will divert via, Artillery Row, Greycoat Place, Horseferry Road, Lambeth Bridge and Lambeth Palace Road to Waterloo Station Taxi Road. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route. St Thomas' Hospital will be served via the bus stops on Lambeth Palace Road instead of Westminster Bridge Road during the road closures.

Route 238 will be diverted in both directions between Portway / Amity Road and Stratford Bus Station from 0345 until around 1830. Buses will divert via Vicarage Lane, Romford Road, Stratford Broadway and Great Eastern Road. West Ham Lane and Densham Road will not be served. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 241 will be diverted in both directions between Plaistow High Street / Kennedy Close and Stratford Bus Station from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Clegg Street, Stopford Road, Portway, Vicarage Lane, Romford Road, Stratford Broadway and Great Eastern Road. Plaistow Station, New Plaistow Road and West Ham Lane will not be served. For Plaistow Station alight at the Kennedy Close bus stop on Plaistow High Street. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 243 will run between Clerkenwell Green and Wood Green Station only from 0700 until around 1830.

Route 257 will run in two separate sections from first bus until around 1900, Stratford Bus Station to Leytonstone Station and Walthamstow Central Bus Station to Whipps Cross. Passengers should use route W15 between Leytonstone Station and Walthamstow Central Station.

Route 262 will be diverted in both directions between Plaistow High Street / Kennedy Close and Stratford Bus Station from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Clegg Street, Stopford Road, Portway, Vicarage Lane, Romford Road, Stratford Broadway and Great Eastern Road. Plaistow Station, New Plaistow Road and West Ham Lane will not be served. For Plaistow Station alight at the Kennedy Close bus stop on Plaistow High Street. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 275 will be diverted in both directions between Walthamstow, Forest Road / Fulbourne Road and Barkingside, Tesco from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Forest Road, Waterworks Corner, North Circular Road, Charlie Browns Roundabout, Southend Road, Woodford Avenue, Gants Hill Station and Cranbrook Road to Barkingside Tesco. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 276 will be diverted in both directions between Bow Bus Garage and Newham University Hospital from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Bow Road, Bow Church DLR Station, Campbell Road, Devons Road DLR Station, Violet Road, Morris Road, Chrisp Street, All Saints DLR Station, East India Dock Road, A13 Newham Way and Prince Regent Lane to Glen Road. Stratford Town Centre will not be served during the diversion, change on Rothsbury Road to route 339 or diverted route 108 or use the DLR from Bow Church. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 300 will be diverted in both directions between Canning Town Recreation Ground and Canning Town Bus Station from first bus until around 1930. Buses will divert via A13 Newham Way and East India Dock Road. Please note that there are no bus stops on this diversionary route.

Route 308 will be diverted between Water Road / University of East London and Stratford Bus Station towards Stratford only from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Romford Road, Stratford Broadway and Great Eastern Road. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 323 will be diverted in both directions between Canning Town Bus Station and Cody Road / South Crescent Business Centre from first bus until around 1930. Buses will divert via East India Dock Road, Stephenson Road and Bidder Street to Cody Road. Please note that there are no bus stops on this diversionary route.

Route 330 will be diverted in both directions between Plaistow, Barking Road / Prince Regent Lane, and Canning Town Bus Station and not run between Canning Town Bus Station and Pontoon Dock, North Woolwich Road from first bus until around 1930. Buses will divert via Prince Regent Lane, A13 Newham Way and East India Dock Road. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 341 will be diverted in both directions between Farringdon Road, Fleet Street / City Thameslink and Waterloo Station from 0745 until around 1930. Buses will divert via New Bridge Street, Blackfriars Station, Blackfriars Bridge and Stamford Street to Waterloo Road. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 343 will run between London Bridge Station and New Cross Gate only from 0700 until around 1940.

Route 344 will be diverted between Monument and Southwark Bridge Road / Southwark Street towards Clapham Junction only from around 0330 until around 1830. Buses will divert via London Bridge and Southwark Street instead. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 362 will run between Hainault, The Lowe and King George Hospital only from first bus until around 1830.

Route 397 will run in two separate sections from first bus until around 1830, Debden Station to Buckhurst Hill Station and Chingford Station to Crooked Billet Sainsbury's.

Route 425 will be diverted in both directions between Stratford Bus Station and Grove Road / Roman Road from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Great Eastern Road, Angel Lane, Leyton Road, Penny Brookes Street, Montfichet Road, International Way, Stratford International Station, Westfield Avenue, Waterden Road, Marshgate Lane, Bassett Lane, White Post Lane, Rothbury Road, Wansbeck Road, Wick Lane, Tredegar Road, Parnell Road, Old Ford Road, St Stephens Road and Roman Road to Grove Road. Mile End, Bow Road, Bow Church and Stratford High Street will not be served please use the Central line or the DLR instead. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 453 will run between County Hall and Deptford Bridge only from around 0300 until around 2000.

Route 462 will be diverted in both directions between Stratford Bus Station and Grove Road / Roman Road from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via New North Road, Hainault Station and Fencepiece Road. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route. For Grange Hill use the Central line from Hainault Station.

Route 473 will be diverted in both directions between Plaistow High Street / Kennedy Close and Stratford Bus Station from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Clegg Street, Stopford Road, Portway, Vicarage Lane, Romford Road, Stratford Broadway and Great Eastern Road. Plaistow Station, New Plaistow Road and West Ham Lane will not be served. For Plaistow Station alight at the Kennedy Close bus stop on Plaistow High Street. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route 474 will run between Keir Hardie Estate and Manor Park Station only from 0345 until around 1830.

Route 488 will run between Hackney Wick and Dalston Junction Bus Station only from first bus until around 1830.

Route D3 will be diverted in both directions between Limehouse Station and Royal London Hospital from first bus until around 1930. Buses will divert direct via Commercial Road to New Road. The area around Shadwell and Wapping will not be served please use the DLR from Limehouse and change at Shadwell for London Overground to Wapping. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route D8 will run between Bromley-by-Bow, Twelvetrees Crescent and Crossharbour, Asda only from first bus until around 1830.

Route N3 will run between Lambeth Palace and Bromley North from around 0300 until last bus.

Route N8 will be diverted in both directions between Stratford Bus Station and Parnell Road / Roman Road Market from 0345 until last bus. Buses will divert via Great Eastern Road, Angel Lane, Leyton Road, Penny Brookes Street, Montfichet Road, International Way, Stratford International Station, Westfield Avenue, Waterden Road, Marshgate Lane, Bassett Lane, White Post Lane, Rothbury Road, Wansbeck Road, Wick Lane and Tredegar Road to Parnell Road. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route N11 will run between Victoria Station and Ealing Broadway from around 0300 until last bus.

Route N15 will be diverted in both directions between Plaistow, Barking Road / Prince Regent Lane and South Bromley / Abbot Lane from 0345 until last bus. Buses will divert via Prince Regent Lane, A13 Newham Way and East India Dock Road. Canning Town Bus Station will not be served. Buses will be diverted between Aldgate Station and Cannon Street Station in both directions from 0330 until last bus with buses diverting via Fenchurch Street and Gracechurch Street.

Route N25 will be diverted in both directions between Stratford Bus Station and Mile End Station from 0330 until last bus. Buses will divert via Great Eastern Road, Angel Lane, Leyton Road, Penny Brookes Street, Montfichet Road, International Way, Stratford International Station, Westfield Avenue, Waterden Road, Marshgate Lane, Bassett Lane, White Post Lane, Rothbury Road, Wansbeck Road, Wick Lane, Tredegar Road, Parnell Road, Old Ford Road, St Stephens Road, Roman Road and Grove Road to Mile End Road. Bow Road, Bow Church and Stratford High Street will not be served, for Bow Road and Bow Church use route N205 from Mile End. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route N44 will run between Victoria Station and Sutton Station only from 0300 until last bus.

Route N53 will run between County Hall and Plumstead Bus Garage only from 0300 until last bus.

Route N55 will run between Whipps Cross and Oxford Circus only from 0300 until last bus.

Route N87 will run between Lambeth Bridge and Kingston from 0300 until last bus.

Route N109 will run between County Hall and Croydon only from 0300 until last bus.

Route N136 will run between Victoria Station and Chislehurst only from 0300 until last bus.

Route N155 will run between County Hall and Morden Station only from 0300 until last bus.

Route N205 will run between Paddington Station and Bow Church from 0300 until last bus.

Route N381 will run between County Hall and Peckham Bus Station only from 0300 until last bus.

Route N550 will be diverted in both directions between Prestons Road / Baffin Way and Canning Town Bus Station from 0330 until last bus. Buses will divert via Preston Road, Cotton Street and East India Dock Road.

Route N551 will be diverted in both directions between Tollgate Road / Colman Road and South Bromley / Abbot Lane from 0330 until last bus. Buses will divert via A13 Newham Way and East India Dock Road. Canning Town Bus Station will not be served. Route N551 will also be diverted in both directions between Limehouse Station and Aldgate Station direct via Commercial Road and Whitechapel High Street. The area around Shadwell and Wapping will not be served. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary routes.

Route W12 will run between Whipps Cross Hospital and Walthamstow, Coppermill Lane only from first bus until around 1830.

Route W13 will run between South Woodford Station and Leytonstone Bus Station only from first bus until around 1830. Buses will also be diverted in both directions between Green Man Roundabout and Wanstead Station from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Bush Road, Blake Hall Road and Cambridge Park. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary route.

Route W14 will run between South Woodford Station and Leyton, Asda only from first bus until around 1830. Buses will also be diverted in both directions between Green Man Roundabout and Wanstead Station from first bus until around 1830. Buses will divert via Bush Road, Blake Hall Road and Cambridge Park. Route W14 will also be diverted in both directions between Wanstead High Street / Wanstead Place and South Woodford Station with buses diverting via Hermon Hill and George Lane. All bus stops will be served on the diversionary routes.

Jubilee Bank Holiday Buses

We will be running the following on the bus network over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.

Normal weekday timetables up to and including Wednesday 1 June 2022

Thursday 2 June 2022 - Sunday day service and normal Thursday night service.

Friday 3 June 2022 - Saturday day service and normal Friday night service.

Timetable changes - 4 June 2022

Routes Affected:  24, 28. 36, 52, 171, 217, 286, 302, 386, 605, 606 and N171

Route 24 will have a new timetable on Sundays with minor changes to times.

Route 28 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

Route 36 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 8 minutes during the during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 36 will continue to run every 30 minutes throughout every night of the week.

Route 52 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 10 minutes during the during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 52 will continue to run every 30 minutes throughout every night of the week.

Route 171 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

The temporary Monday to Friday timetable on route 217 will be removed with the frequency of the service restored to run every 12 minutes during the daytime. An additional journey will also be introduced in the early morning to allow a 15 minute frequency to operate from Waltham Cross towards Turnpike Lane between 0450 and 0620. The Saturday daytime frequency will continue to run at a bus every 15 minutes with the evening service, as well the all-day service on Sundays, remaining at a bus every 20 minutes.

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 286 which will widen the frequency of the service during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays to every 11 minutes. No change during the evening or on Sundays. This change is needed to help buses keep to time during works to implement a cycle scheme in the Greenwich area.

Route 302 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 386 which will widen the frequency of the service during the daytime on Monday to Fridays to every 17 minutes and during the daytime on Saturdays to every 16 minutes. Route 605 will have a new timetable with the morning journey from Burnt Oak Station retimed from 0756 to depart at 0726 and run 30 minutes earlier until the end of the school year. This is due to delays caused by roadworks on the A41 Edgware Way.

Route 606 will have a new timetable with the morning journeys from Queensbury Station retimed from 0722 and 0726 to 0652 and 0656 with both journeys running 30 minutes earlier until the end of the school year. This is due to delays caused by roadworks on the A41 Edgware Way.

Route N171 will have a new timetable on all nights of the week with minor changes to times.

Timetable changes - 11 June 2022

Routes Affected:  159, 220, 243, 341 and 382

Route 159 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 8 minutes during the during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 159 will also be revised to run every 30 minutes on all nights of the week.

Route 220 will have a new timetable in the AM and PM peaks on Monday to Fridays, with three less journeys towards Wandsworth in the AM peak and one less journey towards Willesden Junction in the PM peak.

Route 243 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 8 minutes during the during the daytime on Monday to Fridays, every 8-9 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays, every 10 minutes during the daytime on Sundays and every 12 minutes during the evenings. Route 243 will continue to run every 30 minutes on Sunday to Thursday nights and every 15 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights.

Route 341 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 12 minutes during both the daytime as well as during the evenings on all days. Route 341 will also continue to run every 30 minutes on all nights of the week.

Additional buses will be running on route 382 between Finchley Central and Mill Hill East on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June. This is to provide extra capacity during the suspension of Northern line services between Archway and High Barnet / Mill Hill East for engineering works.

Hammersmith Bridge closure

Routes Affected: 33, 72, 209, 378, 419, 485, 533, N33 and N72  

Hammersmith Bridge is currently closed to all users, including people walking and cycling, for safety reasons.

Routes 33, 209 and 485 are starting and finishing at the junction of Castelnau and Lonsdale Road to the south of Hammersmith Bridge. Route 72 continues to terminate on the north side of Hammersmith Bridge.

Circular route 533 has been introduced running from Hammersmith Lower Bus Station via Chiswick Bridge, Mortlake High Street, Barnes Bridge Station, Lonsdale Road to Castlenau then returning to Hammersmith via Barnes High Street, Barnes Bridge Station, Mortlake High Street and Chiswick Bridge. Route 533 runs every 10 minutes in the AM and PM peak on Monday to Fridays and every 12 minutes during the daytime on all days of the week. The evening frequency on all days of the week will remain at a bus every 15 minutes. First buses depart Hammersmith at 0448 and Castelnau at 0510. Last buses depart Hammersmith at 0050 and Castelnau at 0110.

More buses have also been added to route 378 which runs between Mortlake, Barnes High Street and Putney Bridge Station every 7-8 minutes on Monday to Saturdays and every 10 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.

Route 419 is diverting at the southern end of Hammersmith Bridge to run to and from Roehampton, Bessborough Road replacing route 72 over this section. Route 419 runs every 12 minutes on Monday to Saturdays and every 20 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.

Route N33 is diverting between Barnes, Red Lion and Hammersmith Bus Station via Lower Richmond Road, Putney Bridge and Fulham Palace Road. Route N72 is diverting between Barnes Station and Hammersmith Bus Station via Lower Richmond Road, Putney Bridge and Fulham Palace Road.

Long Term Diversions

Routes Affected: 8, 11, 17, 25, 26, 28, 46, 60, 75, 109, 119, 133, 166, 292, 306, 312, 335, 360, 405, 407, 412, 433, 452, 455, 466, 468, 521, 633, B16, N8, N11, N25, N26, N28, N68, N109, N133, N242, N250, N551, W15, W16 and W19.

Fairlop Road in Leytonstone is closed in both directions until the end of May 2022 for major water main works. Buses on routes W15 are diverting in both directions between the bus stops at Whipps Cross Hospital A&E Department and Leytonstone Station via James Lane, Whipps Cross Road, Green Man Roundabout, High Road Leytonstone and Gainsborough Road. Route W16 towards Leytonstone is diverting between the bus stops at Leyton Sports Ground and Leytonstone Station via Leyton High Road, Warren Road, Francis Road and Grove Green Road and towards Chingford Mount route W16 via Grove Green Road, Leyton High Road, Grange Park Road, Church Road and Leyton High Road between the bus stops at Leytonstone Station and Leyton Midland Road Station. Route W19 is diverting between the bus stops at Essex Road South and Leytonstone Station in both directions. Towards Ilford buses are diverting via Hainault Road, Leyton High Road, Warren Road, Francis Road and Grove Green Road and towards Walthamstow via Grove Green Road, Leyton High Road, Grange Park Road, Church Road, Leyton High Road and Hainault Road.

Beddington Lane is closed in both directions at Beddington Cross until July 2022. Route 455 is on diversion between Beddington Asda and Ampere Way with buses diverting via Marlowe Way and Beddington Farm Road. Buses are unable to serve Beddington Lane or Coomber Way. Route 463 provides an alternative link between Beddington Asda and Coomber Way. Route 633 will also be diverted in both directions between Beddington Village and Beddington Lane Tram Stop via Marlowe Way, Beddington Farm Road and Coomber Way.

Woolstone Road is closed in both directions in Sydenham until July 2022. Route 75 is on diversion between Catford Hill and Perry Vale with buses diverting via Perry Hill and Perry Rise and unable to serve Woolston Road. Additionally buses towards Lewisham will also serve the bus stop within the grounds of the Sainsbury's store at Lower Sydenham.

Moorhead Way in Kidbrooke is closed in both directions between Ensign Close and Weigall Road. Buses on route 335 are diverting in both directions via Ensign Street and Handley Drive instead. Route B16 towards Bexleyheath are also diverting via Ensign Street and Handley Drive. These works are due to finish in July 2022.

Route 452 is currently starting and finishing at Ladbroke Grove, Sainsbury's and unable to serve Kilburn Lane and Chamberlayne Road due to roadworks at Kensal Rise. Passengers can transfer at Ladbroke Grove, Sainsbury's to bus route 52 to reach both Kilburn Lane and Chamberlayne Road. The works are due to finish at the end of August 2022.

Gas main replacement works on Clerkenwell Road have reduced the carriageway to one lane in each direction and also stopped traffic from crossing the junction with Grays Inn Road. Due to this route 17 is diverted towards Archway from Farringdon Street / Snow Hill via Farringdon Road, King's Cross Road and Acton Street to Grays Inn Road / Swinton Street and towards London Bridge from Grays Inn Road / Clerkenwell Road via Clerkenwell Road and Farringdon Road to Farringdon Street / Snow Hill. Route 46 is also diverted, towards Paddington from City Thameslink via Snow Hill, Farringdon Road, King's Cross Road and Acton Street to Grays Inn Road / Swinton Street and towards St Bart's Hospital from King's Cross Road / Pentonville Road via King's Cross Road, Rosebery Avenue, Clerkenwell Road, Theobalds Road, Drake Street, Procter Street and High Holborn to Holborn Circus.

Due to redevelopment works of North End Market, North End Road in Fulham is currently closed southbound with routes 28, 306 and N28 having to divert via Lillie Road, Munster Road and Dawes Road. Northbound buses are not diverted. The works are due to finish in October 2022.

Due to roadworks closing bus stops on Capitol Way in Colindale buses on route 292 are currently terminating at bus stop CX, named Carlisle Road, on Edgware Road. Towards Borehamwood buses on route 292 are currently starting at the temporary bus stop on Capitol Way located opposite the car park exit to Asda.

Threadneedle Street is closed until further notice eastbound only with routes 8, 11, 26, N8, N11, N26 and N242 diverting between Bank and Liverpool Street via Lombard Street, King William Street, Gracechurch Street and Bishopsgate . Routes 133 and N133 are diverting in both directions between Monument and Liverpool Street Bus Station via Gracechurch Street, Bishopsgate and Wormwood Street. Route N551 towards Trafalgar Square is diverting from Camomile Street via Bishopsgate and Threadneedle Street to Bank and towards Gallions Reach buses from Bank Station via Princes Street, Moorgate, South Place, Eldon Street and Blomfield Street to London Wall.

Park Street in Croydon is closed eastbound until further notice with routes 60, 109, 433, 455, 468, N68, N109 and N250 towards West or East Croydon diverting via Katharine Street and Park Lane. Buses are not serving stop KE on Park Street and using stop KC on Park Lane instead.

Katharine Street in Croydon is part closed westbound until further notice with routes 60, 119, 166, 312, 405, 407, 412, 455, 466, 468 and N68 are diverting via Fell Road, Park Lane Roundabout and Edridge Road.

Due to temporary road layout changes at the junction of Chelsea Bridge Road and Grosvenor Road for a cycle scheme buses towards Royal Albert Hall on route 360 are now turning directly from Grosvenor Road into Chelsea Bridge Road and not serving Chelsea Embankment or Bull Ring Gate. The revised route will be in place until October 2023. There is no change to the route of buses travelling towards Elephant & Castle.

Angel Street in the St Paul's area of City of London is now closed until spring 2025 to allow building works to take place. Buses travelling eastbound towards Bank on routes 8, 25, N8, N25 and N242 or towards Cannon Street on route 521 are diverting from King Edward Street via Little Britain, Montague Street and Aldersgate Street to St Martins-le-Grand. Buses are serving all stops on this diversionary route.

Change buses for free with the Hopper fare
