Changes to route 434 from Saturday 29 March 2025 

From Saturday 29 March we will be making some changes to how bus route 434 operates following completion of works by Croydon Council. 

Route 434 will be rerouted, as originally planned, between Purley Station and Kenley Station via Foxley Hill Road, Higher Drive, Cullesden Road, Firs Road, Wattendon Road, Hayes Lane, Park Road and Hayes Lane to Godstone Road. The new section of route will be hail and ride with buses stopping when the drivers believes it is safe to do so. The current bus stops on Godstone Road between Purley Station and Kenley Station will no longer be served by route 434 but will continue to be served by route 407. 

Route 434 will continue to run every 30 minutes between around 0700 and 2000 on all days of the week.

Changes to routes B14 & R6 from Saturday 29 March 2025 

From Saturday 29 March we will be making some major changes to how bus routes B14 and R6 operate. 

Route B14 will be rerouted between St Mary Cray Station and Orpington High Street. Route B14 will no longer use Cray Avenue but instead will follow the current R6 route via Station Road, Mill Brook Road, Sandway Road, Wotton Green, Molash Road, Sweeps Lane, Okemore Gardens, Blacksmith's Lane, Burrfield Drive, Crockenhill Road, Blacksmith's Lane, St Mary Cray High Street, Kent Road and Lower Road to Orpington High Street. 

The frequency of route B14 will continue to be every 30 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays, but the evening frequency will be increased to every 30 minutes. The Sunday service will also change with buses increased to run every 30 minutes from 0600 until Midnight. 

Route R6 will be withdrawn and replaced in full by route B14.

Changes to buses in the Aldgate area 

We will be making changes to bus services in the Aldgate area over separate weekends in late March and early April. 

From Saturday 29 March 2025 route 343 will be changed to start and finish at Tower Gateway and will no longer serve Aldgate Bus Station or Aldgate High Street. Route 343 will terminate at bus stop TC opposite Tower Gateway DLR Station and pick up at bus stop TE on Mansell Street. Passengers that currently use route 343 to or from Aldgate should use routes 42, 78 or 100 between Tower Gateway and Aldgate instead. 

To allow route 343 to use bus stop TD at Tower Gateway DLR Station, routes 42, 78, 100 and N551 will move bus stops and will instead use bus stop TC. 

From Saturday 12 April 2025 routes 15 & N15 will be rerouted when travelling eastbound towards Blackwall or Romford Market with buses running via Minories, Aldgate Bus Station and Aldgate High Street to Whitechapel High Street instead of via Mansell Street. Routes 15 & N15 will serve bus stop L inside Aldgate Bus Station to provide a common stop with route 115. Routes 15 & N15 will no longer serve bus stop S on Mansell Street. 

To accommodate routes 15 & N15 at bus stop L inside Aldgate Bus Station, routes 254 and N253 will no longer use bus stop L but will instead pick up from bus stop D on Aldgate High Street. This will also provide a common stop with routes 25 & N25 towards Whitechapel and Royal London Hospital.

Silvertown Tunnel opening & changes to buses from Monday 7 April 2025 

The following changes will take place to the bus network upon the opening of the new Silvertown Tunnel from Monday 7 April 2025. 

New Superloop route SL4 (Westferry Circus to Grove Park): 

The new Superloop route SL4 will be introduced running between Westferry Circus, West India Avenue and Grove Park via Canary Wharf, Leamouth, Blackheath and Lee. Buses will run from West India Avenue via Cabot Square, Canary Wharf Station, Canada Square, Churchill Place, Trafalgar Way, Baffin Way, Blackwall Way, Lower Lea Crossing to Orchard Place then non-stop from Orchard Place to Kidbrooke Park Road via Silvertown Tunnel & the A102M, then via Kidbrooke Park Road, Prince Of Wales Road, Montpelier Row, Blackheath Town Centre, Lee Road, Burnt Ash Road, Burnt Ash Hill and Baring Road. All bus stops will be served between West India Avenue and Orchard Place and Kidbrooke Park Road to Grove Park with buses running non-stop from Orchard Place via Silvertown Tunnel and A102M.  

At Grove Park buses will set down at bus stop A opposite the Esso garage and pick up from bus stop N by St Augustine's Church. 

Buses on route SL4 will run every 8 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays and every 15 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays and Sundays and during the evening on all days of the week.  

Times of first buses will be 05:00 from Grove Park and at 05:50 from Westferry Circus on all days of the week. Last buses will depart Grove Park at 00:15 and 01:00 from Westferry Circus on all days of the week. 

Route SL4 will be operated by Go Ahead using electric double deck buses. 

Route 108 (Stratford International station to Lewisham shopping centre) 

Route 108 will continue to operate via the Blackwall Tunnel. The route will have a small change when exiting the Blackwall Tunnel towards Lewisham, where it will now exit the A102 via a bus only slip road closer to the exit of the Blackwall Tunnel. As a result bus stop MW, named Millennium Way, will no longer be served by route 108. Customers can instead change at North Greenwich bus station for routes 129 or 188, which will serve this stop. 

There is no change to the route towards Stratford International. A new timetable will be in operation with buses running every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. The night service will continue to run every 30 minutes on all nights of the week. 

Route 129 (Lewisham shopping centre to North Greenwich bus station) 

Route 129 will be extended from North Greenwich Bus Station to Gallions Reach, Great Eastern Quay.  The new route will run through the new Silvertown Tunnel then via West Silvertown, Silvertown, London City Airport, Royal Albert and Beckton, using zero emission double deck buses.  

The exact routeing will be via Millennium Way, Silvertown Tunnel, North Woolwich Road, Connaught Bridge, Hartmann Road, London City Airport, Hartmann Road, Connaught Bridge, Royal Albert Way, Stansfeld Road, Tollgate Road, Woolwich Manor Way, Beckton Bus Station (towards Lewisham only), Gallions Roundabout and Atlantis Avenue to Magellan Boulevard which is within the Great Eastern Quay roundabout. 

In North Greenwich Bus Station there will be changes to the stops served by route 129. Route 129 towards Lewisham will now use bus stop B with buses towards Gallions Reach, Great Eastern Quay using bus stop C. 

At Beckton Bus Station route 129 will serve bus stop C towards Lewisham and bus stop H on Woolwich Manor Way towards Gallions Each, Great Eastern Quay. 

The frequency of route 129 will be increased to a bus every 8 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays, every 10 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. 

Times of first buses will be at 04:45 on Monday to Saturdays and 05:20 on Sundays from Gallions Reach, Great Eastern Quay and at 05:00 on all days of the week from Lewisham. Last buses will depart Gallions Reach, Great Eastern Quay at 00:15 and 01:00 from Lewisham on all days of the week. 

Route 129 will be operated by Go Ahead using electric double deck buses. 

As part of these changes there will be some amendments to what routes service which bus stops at North Greenwich Bus Station. Route 129 towards Lewisham will move to bus stop B. Route 335 towards Kidbrooke will move to bus stop D. 

At Grove Park there will be changes made to bus routes 136 and 181 with both routes now terminating at bus stop C on Downham Way. Departing Grove Park for Elephant & Castle on route 136 and Lewisham on route 181 both routes will now pic up from bus stop D on Downham Way.

Changes to buses from Saturday 15 March 2025 

The following changes will take place from Saturday 15 March 2025. 
 
Route 138 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. Route 138 will be operated by Stagecoach from this date. 
 
Route 155 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 8-9 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays. 
 
Route 161 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. The early morning frequency will increase to every 15 minutes before 0600 on Monday to Fridays. On Saturdays the early morning frequency will increase to every 20 minutes before 0745. On Sundays the early morning frequency will increase to a bus every 20 minutes from first bus until 0945. 
 
Route 172 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
 
Route 181 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. 
 
Route 225 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. Route 225 will be operated by Stagecoach from this date. 
 
Route 355 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.

Changes to bus route 273 from Saturday 15 March 2025 

From Saturday 15 March we will be making some changes to bus route 273. 

The hail and ride sections of route 273 in the area around Horn Park will be converted to fixed stop operation. There will also be a minor reroute in both directions with buses using the full length of Exford Road rather than serving Selnac Road, Jevington Way or the eastern end of Winn Road.  

There is no change to the frequency of route 273.

Changes to buses from Saturday 22 March 2025 

The following changes will take place from Saturday 22 March 2025. 

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 7 widening the frequency of the service to every 13 minutes at all times on all days of the week. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability during works in the East Acton area. 

Route 40 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays. 

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 95 widening the frequency of the service to every 14 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability during works in the East Acton area. 

Route 105 will have a new timetable on all days and nights of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels. 

Route 154 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency widened to every 11 minutes during the daytime and every 16 minutes during the evenings on Monday to Saturdays. No change on Sundays. 

Route 169 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. On Sundays the early morning frequency will increase to every 20 minutes before 0800. No change at any other time. When buses arrive at Barking Town Centre buses will now continue beyond bus stop M on to bus stop F at North Street to terminate. No change towards Clayhall. 

Route 247 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. 

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 260 widening the frequency of the service to every 13 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 16 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability during works in the East Acton area. 

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 274 widening the frequency of the service to every 13 minutes at all times on all days of the week except during the daytime on Saturdays when it will be widened to every 11 minutes. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability due to various works along the route. 

Route 287 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels. 

Route 482 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. The early morning frequency will increase to every 20 minutes before 0700 on Monday to Fridays and 0800 on Saturdays. On Sundays the frequency will be increased to a bus every 20 minutes from first bus until 1900. 

Route C10 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. 

Route U5 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

Changes to buses from Saturday 29 March 2025 

The following changes will take place from Saturday 29 March 2025. 

Route 68 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. 

Route 341 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 12 minutes during the daytime and evening on all days of the week. No change to the 30-minute frequency of the night service. 

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 360 widening the frequency of the service to every 12-13 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays. No change at any other time. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability during works along the route. 

Route N68 will have a new timetable on all nights of the week with minor changes to times. The times of the first buses will change on all nights towards Tottenham Court Road with buses departing an hour earlier than current, the new times of first buses will be 2320 from Old Coulsdon. No change to times towards Old Coulsdon.

Route R1 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. The frequency will be increased to every 20 minutes during the daytime on Sundays, no change at any other time. 

Route R2 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. The times of the first buses will change on Monday to Saturdays with buses one hour earlier than current, the new times of first buses will be 0527 from Biggin Hill Valley and 0605 from Orpington Town Centre. 

Route R3 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. The times of the first buses will change on Monday to Saturdays with buses half an hour earlier than current, the new times of first buses will be 0545 from Orpington Station and 0600 from Princess Royal University Hospital. 

Route R4 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. 

Route R8 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. 

Route R11 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. 

Route SL6 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.

The following changes will take place from Saturday 5 April 2025. 

Route 21 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 8-9 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.  

Route 23 will have a new timetable on Saturdays and Sundays with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels. 

Route 54 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays, every 12 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.  

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 70 widening the frequency of the service to every 11 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays. No change at any other time. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability during works along the route. 

Route 75 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.  

Route 76 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays. The night service remains at a bus every 30 minutes on every night of the week.  

Route 89 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 20 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.  

Route 94 will have a new timetable on Saturdays and Sundays with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels. 

Route 111 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays. every 12 minutes during the daytime on Sundays and every 15 minutes during the evening on all days of the week. The night service remains at a bus every 30 minutes on every night of the week.  

Route 148 will have a new timetable on Saturdays and Sundays with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels. 

Route 178 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 15 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 20 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays. 

Route 185 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 8-9 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.  

Route 199 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays, every 15 minutes during the daytime on Sundays and every 20 minutes during the evenings on all days of the week.  

Route 225 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to a bus every 20 minutes at all times of the day.  

Route 261 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays, every 15 minutes during the daytime on Sundays and every 20 minutes during the evenings on all days of the week.  

Route 262 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. 

Route 263 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. 

Route 267 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. 

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 272 widening the frequency of the service to every 16 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays. No change at any other time. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability during works along the route. 

Route 284 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays, every 12 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays and every 20 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.  

Route 321 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays. The night service remains at a bus every 30 minutes on every night of the week.  

Route 380 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays, every 12 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.  

Route 432 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency reduced during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays to a bus every 12 minutes. The frequency during the evening and all day on Sundays will remain at a bus every 15 minutes. 

Route 436 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to a bus every 12 minutes at all times of the day.  

Route 452 will have a new timetable on Saturdays and Sundays with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels. 

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 482 widening the frequency of the service to every 21 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays and to every 31 minutes during the daytime on Sundays. No change at any other time. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability during works on Vicarage Farm Road. 

Route 484 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.  

A temporary timetable will be introduced on route H28 widening the frequency of the service to every 21 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and to every 31 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability during works on Vicarage Farm Road. 

Route N271 will be renumbered to route N263 from this date. There is no change to the timetable of route N263 which will continue to run every 30 minutes on all nights of the week between Moorgate, Finsbury Square and North Finchley, Tally Ho Corner serving all existing stops served by the current N271 route. 

Route P4 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 12 minutes during the daytime on all days of the week and every 15 minutes during the evenings on all days of the week.

Wembley High Road closure from Monday 13 January 2025

Until Monday 19 May 2025, Wembley High Road will be closed at the junction with Wembley Hill. This means that a number of bus routes will be diverted or stop short of their normal destination during the closure:

  • Bus stops SA, SB and SD on Wembley Hill Road, and stops SC, SE, SJ, SM, SP on Wembley High Road will be closed
  • Routes 83, 92, 182, 223 and N83 will be diverted via Park Lane and Wembley Hill Road
  • Route 483 will be diverted via Park Lane
  • Route 440 will start and finish from stop G at Point Place, Stonebridge Park

Routes 18 and N18 will continue to run through Wembley High Road.
