Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“In light of the recent death of a cyclist on Westferry Road after a collision with a bus - how many prior complaints had been received in respect of the bus driver for
a) dangerous driving
b) other reasons - using the standard TfL breakdown”.
I am afraid that TfL does not hold the requested information. Bus drivers are employed directly by the bus operators that run services under contract with TfL, rather than by TfL ourselves. The information we receive via complaints does not generally allow us to identify individual drivers, and we cannot therefore say how many complaints may have been received about an individual driver.
