Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 1st December 2022 asking for information about road collisions involving TfL buses.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“I would like to request information regarding the road collisions involving TfL's bus services contracted for the period from 1 January 2022 to today's date.

I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
Please note, TfL has two separate sources for this data. The spreadsheet attached shows information recorded by the police using Department for Transport (DfT) guidance, generally known as “STATS19” (see here for more information on how the data is compiled: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/road-accident-and-safety-statistics-guidance). The police do not record the bus operator name. Data is for January to July 2022, which is the latest processed information available. All 2022 records are currently provisional and subject to change. You may need to expand the width of some columns to reads the data in full.
