Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 21 August 2024 asking for information about our licensing fee structure.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.
I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked: Can you please tell me how much all types of private hire vehicle licence cost in the years 2021 – 2024 for the following London boroughs.
· Tower Hamlets
· Hackney
· Newham
· Bedfordshire
· Luton
Transport for London (TfL) license and regulate all of London's taxi and private hire drivers, vehicles and operators.
Please contact the licensing authorities of Luton https://m.luton.gov.uk/ and Bedfordshire https://www.bedford.gov.uk/licensing/taxi-licensing/private-hire-and-taxi-vehicle-licence for information regarding the licensing of these services in their respective areas.
Regarding our fees for a private hire driver or private hire vehicle licence, the costs of these licences have not changed within the period requested.
