DLR Community Ambassadors
Community ambassadors provide services including
- Careers talks to students at schools and local colleges
- Information on how to use the DLR safely
- Liaise with local communities by holding open days at supermarkets, libraries and community centres
- Offer accessibility trips and ticket machine training for residents who need a little extra assistance. As part of our accessibility offerings, we will accompany a group from a start station to an end station
- Offer mobility scooter training to mobility scooter users to enable them to be safe users on the railway
- Facilitate the Back on Track scheme restoring passenger confidence and enabling them to travel confidently on the railway
- Undertake safety talks to demonstrate the importance of railway safety
- Manage the Adopt a Station programme with local stakeholders
- Attend events such as residents' coffee mornings, parent-and-toddler groups and parents' forums to give travel advice and answer questions on using the DLR
- Provide DLR with feedback on concerns within the community
- Face to face engagement at unstaffed DLR stations

Our ambassadors can offer information and advice about travelling on the DLR, engineering works and accessibility trips. Email ambassadors@keolisameydlr.co.uk to book a drop in sessions at your local library or community centre.
