Dear Transport for London,
The Willow Tree Roundabout on the A312 is a very dangerous roundabout with motorist often not stopping at the giveaway and approaching the roundabout at excessive speeds.
1. Does TFL have statistics available on the number of accidents , RTCs , incidents on this roundabout?
2. Is there any information on if TFL have considered any safety measures on this roundabout? Such as making it red light controlled , cameras etc.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 29 March 2024 asking for information about Willow tree roundabout on the A312.
1. Does TFL have statistics available on the number of accidents , RTCs , incidents on this roundabout?
2. Is there any information on if TFL have considered any safety measures on this roundabout? Such as making it red light controlled , cameras etc.
Response:
We publish this data on our website via the following link on collisions in London. The collision records consist of three files for each year showing attendant (includes location, dates etc) , casualty (people being injured) and vehicle (the vehicles involved in the collision): https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/road-safety. Alternatively you can use the London Collison Map on page 4 of our Road Danger Reduction Dashboard to create an area and filter collision information.
In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.
We have previously reviewed this location due to safety concerns. Measures including green visibility walls and lining changes were implemented, however the green walls failed due to maintenance challenges. We are now actively investigating this location again to work out how safety can be further improved.
