Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 27th January 2024 asking for information about cancellations on the Metropolitan line to Watford, Chesham and Amersham.
 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

Specifically you asked:

Please provide a list of the reasons for tube cancellations on the metropolitan line to wattford, chesham and amersham for the last 12 months or if that isn't possible then the last 6 months or if that isn't possible then the last 3 months

Please also provide a list of whether tubes to these destinations were on time or late and how late they were for the last 12 months or if that isn't possible then the last 6 months or if that isn't possible then the last 3 months”.

Please see the data provided in the attached spreadsheets. You may need to expand the width of some columns to read the data in full. Please also see the “notes” spreadsheets which explain how the data was compiled. The data shows:
 
  • The Service operated for each branch – as we do not record specific train cancellations for these.
  • Arrival times for each branch (where available)

In the “notes” worksheets it explains the limitations of the data for some of these locations, and the fact that the data is not always the easiest to interpret when looking at large extracts. We could not extract specific data for Amersham for arrivals. Trying to link delays and cancellations to specific branches is not currently possible with our existing reporting systems.
