TfL Ref: FOI-3658-2324

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 15th January 2024 asking for information about London buses.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

There are currently 3,795 vehicles in the TfL fleet which are fitted with ‘Intelligent Speed Assistance’ technology, which restricts the vehicle’s maximum speed to the posted speed limit of the road the bus is travelling on.
