Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 11 January 2024 asking for information about UBER drivers.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked: Please can you provide any race data on Uber drivers employed in the London borough of Ealing and a bar chart giving a snapshot of London.

Transport for London already publishes information on licensed drivers’ demographic data and partial postcode data of their home address at the following link: https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/taxis-and-private-hire/licensing/licensing-information
This data is accurate as of June 2023. 

The demographic data is provided on a voluntary basis and is anonymised. We request this data so we have a better idea of representative the licensee population is of London as a whole.

We do not hold data on the ethnicity of licensed private hire vehicle (PHV) drivers working for specific licensed PHV operators.
