What are the names of the roads/streets where the incidents took place in LBWF? What were the exact circumstances that resulted in the road traffic accidents/road traffic collisions which sadly caused the injuries and/or deaths of each individual? I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

TfL publishes end of year factsheets that give overall numbers of casualties by borough. We also publish data extracts from 2005 to June 2023 (published every quarter – the full final 2023 data will not be available until later this year, likely to be around May/June) which can be filtered by borough. Those factsheets and data extracts can be found on our website here:

https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/road-safety - see the sections Road Collision Data and Annual Fact Sheets and Reports (and in particular the spreadsheet Road fatalities since 2019).

Data extract files for all collisions within the Greater London area are also available on our website from 2005 to June 2023 . The Attendant files can also be filtered by borough and show a description of the collision location as well as a geo-code to allow plotting in mapping GIS. You can find the attendant files on our website under Road collision data  - Collision data extracts

You may also be interested in our Road Danger Reduction Dashboard. This is updated as soon as we publish records onto our database – currently up to the end of August 2023. Again, this can be filtered by borough. It is possible to see the number of people being injured, the mode of travel, vehicles involved etc. The Dashboard will give an overview of what is happening in each borough.

Note that TfL does not necessarily hold the “exact circumstances” of how a collision occurred, as requested in your second question. Contributory factors can be assigned to records and these give an indication of how the collision may have occurred, but these are not the result of extensive investigation. These are only recorded for collisions where a police officer attends and around 40% of our records ae self-reported online, and we do not hold contributory factors for those reports. Page 8 of the dashboard show these contributory factors, and every page can be filtered by borough.

In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely,
