Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25 February 2019 asking for information about discounts for private hire operators under the new ‘Congestion Charge’.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
There are no discounts for PHV Operators. Further details of the exemptions and discounts relating to private hire vehicles in the Congestion Charging zone can be found on our website at the following location: https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/taxis-and-private-hire/phvs-and-the-congestion-charge.
PHVs designated as wheelchair-accessible vehicles will retain an exemption to the Congestion Charge as long as they are fulfilling a private hire booking. They must also be actively licensed with London Taxi and Private hire (TPH).
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
