Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 15 March 2022 asking for information about London Underground’s escalator department.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

Please see the tables below providing the numbers and grades for females in the Escalator team. Please note that the escalator maintenance figures do not include a further three female apprentices, as these are reported elsewhere until they roll off the apprentice scheme.
