Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25 January 2023 asking for information about performance related bonuses.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require. Information on bonuses paid has been published in response to a Mayor’s Question and can be found here:
Under section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act, we are not obliged to provide you with information which is reasonably accessible by other means.
Please note:
Performance year 2018/19 was paid in 2019/20
Performance year 2019/20 was deferred by Remuneration Committee due to the pandemic and paid in 2021/22.
We haven’t paid any bonuses yet for the performance year 2021/22 and 2022/23. These will be paid in 2023/24 subject to meeting the financial overlay trigger as outlined in the scheme rules. This requires us being financially sustainable in our budget for 2023/24 – to be approved by the board on 29 March.
