Thank you for your request of 23rd January 2023 asking for information about the lifts at Morden London Underground station.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“I would also like to request, under the freedom of information act, how often the lifts at Morden are taken out of order, and how often this occurs due to staffing restrictions etc...”
This was clarified on 6th February 2023 as follows:
“Would it be possible to request the data between Jan 2022 and Jan 2023 inclusive, if possible broken down by month?”.
I can confirm that we hold the information you require, which is provided in the attached spreadsheet. This provides data showing when has there been a loss of step free access at Morden for either asset or staff-related reasons for the period 01/01/2022 to 31/01/2023. Note that during the financial year 2021/22 step free access was available at Morden 98% of the time the station was open. For the year 2022/23 (up to 04/02/2023) step free access was available at Morden 98.6% of the time the station was open.
