We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-2546-2425

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 11th November 2024 asking for information about the Bakerloo line.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

Will the Bakerloo line be re-extended to Watford Junction?”.

I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

TfL currently has no plans to re-extend the Bakerloo line to Watford Junction. We are currently focussing on upgrading the existing line through the provision of new rolling stock and increasing service frequencies, as well as developing a southern extension of the line from Elephant & Castle to Lewisham, and potentially beyond Lewisham to Hayes and Beckenham Junction. More information on our plans to extend the line can be found on our website here:  Bakerloo line extension - Transport for London (tfl.gov.uk). Watford Junction will continue to be served by the London Overground Lioness line.

If this is not the information you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely,
