I have been trying to find these source documents of yours but it’s very difficult on google searches, or to know where to start on your website. I am guessing that they must exist or else they wouldn't have been generated.
We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-2329-2324
Thank you for your request which we received on 29 September 2023. You have asked for a ‘Traffic Monitoring Report (2019)’ containing traffic volumes and pollution data from Liverpool Road.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) and our information access policy. Unfortunately, we don’t hold the information you asked for.
We’ve searched extensively across a number of different business areas within TfL, looking at different schemes we’ve been involved in in the London Borough of Islington, unfortunately were unable to locate the specific document titled ‘TFL Traffic Monitoring Report (2019)’.
However, your first bullet relating to traffic volumes (30% increase in the last two years) suggests it could be the result of Islington’s implementation of the Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) scheme. Islington have undertaken monitoring of the LTNs in their borough and the impacts, so it might be possible the data & reference to air quality came from them rather than TfL. Furthermore, Liverpool Road is on the borough road, not TfL’s.
However, we do produce Travel in London reports, that summarise trends and developments in travel and transport. You can have a look at them to see if there’s any reference to traffic volumes and air pollution on Liverpool Road. They are available on the TfL website, here: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/travel-in-london-reports.
I’m sorry not to be able to help you further on this occasion.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
