Thank you for your email received by us on 26 November 2018 asking for information about the number of permanent members of staff at Transport for London (TfL) and its subsidiary companies employed at Band 4, Band 5, Director level and above.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for:

how many permanent members of staff at TfL and its subsidiary companies are employed at Band 4, Band 5, Director level and above, respectively. Please supply this information by banding, per directorate underneath the ExCo, e.g. "London Underground Limited, under Mark Wild; 50 Band 4s, 25 Band 5s, 10 Directors" etc etc.

The TfL Executive Committee (EXCO) is responsible for setting pan TfL strategy and direction. Members of the Executive Committee have clear individual accountabilities and objectives for the businesses they run directly and also collective objectives and accountabilities to be delivered by the organisation as a whole.

Please see the following table categorised by Executive Committee (EXCO) area. Please note that whilst the areas highlighted in grey are separate exco areas, according to the reporting system used to provide this organisation structure, they are considered to be one directorate. For example, Commercial Development sits within the Chief Financial Officer and Transformation, whilst City Planning and Strategy and the Chief Technology Officer all sit within Customer, Communications (Coms) and Technology.
