We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-2097-2021
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18 January 2021.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked:
How many young people have had their travel cards confiscated under Payback London for each year since 2014?
Please note the scheme is no longer called ‘Payback London’. Earn Your Travel Back is the current initiative which aims to provide young people who have their concessionary travel withdrawn due to a breach of the Behaviour Code the opportunity to earn it back through volunteering in the community.
Please see a link to the Young Person’s Behaviour code which a holder of a Zip Oyster Card agrees to, and that violation of that code could lead to temporary or permanent withdrawal of the free travel concession.
Please see the number of young people Oyster cards withdrawn since 2014 and the number of cards reinstated through Earn Your Travel Back.
