Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 20th September 2024 asking for information about London buses. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Your questions are answered in turn below:
Question 1: Bus Revenue Data:

Answer: Please see the first set of spreadsheets attached (you may need to expand the width of some columns to read the data in full). The journey and revenue figures provided are at route level as we do not hold this data at the stop level. We have focused on Pay As You Go (PAYG) activity as your request related to the additional cost borne by passengers on these routes. Note that we do not currently have access to the latest journey and revenue numbers – however, we have been able to provide several weeks of data following the temporary closure of Colindale, as well as the average weekly PAYG journeys for the previous two years.
Question 2: Route 186 Bus Frequency:
Number of buses operating on route 186. Frequency and scheduling details and any changes in scheduling and cancelations.
Any subsequent changes to 186's operations after being made free.
Answer: The number of buses operating on route 186, and the frequency and scheduling, is available in the route schedules and timetable information already published on the TfL website via the following links:
In accordance with section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act, we are not required to provide the requested information as it is readily accessible elsewhere.
There have been no changes to the frequency on the route 186 during the normal hours of operation since the station closure.
There are additional trips on the route 186 being run on Friday/Saturday nights and Saturday/Sunday early mornings to connect passengers with the Night Tube throughout the station closure. The trip departure times at the first stop are as follows:
