When the Elizabeth Line fully opens in May 2023 will there be a direct service from Reading through to Shenfield? If so could you please provide the proposed frequency of both the off-peak and peak services between these two stations, as well as the proposed call points.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 7th November 2022 asking for information about Elizabeth Line services from May 2023.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“When the Elizabeth Line fully opens in May 2023 will there be a direct service from Reading through to Shenfield? If so could you please provide the proposed frequency of both the off-peak and peak services between these two stations, as well as the proposed call points.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
There will not be a direct service between Reading and Shenfield in May 2023. Services from Reading run eastwards as far as Abbey Wood. Passengers for Shenfield can change at an intermediate station en route.
