Please give figures for the number of non-compliant vehicles captured by static cameras from May onwards, ideally please give total figures based on monthly totals and only within the ULEZ expansion zone. Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6th September 2024 asking for information about the ULEZ scheme.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations (EIRs) and our information access policy. 

Specifically you asked:

“Please give figures for the number of non-compliant vehicles captured by static cameras from May onwards, ideally please give total figures based on monthly totals and only within the ULEZ expansion zone.

If you cannot provide the requested breakdown please give total for whole ULEZ zone, either month by month from May 24 onwards.”

I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

We are not able to breakdown the data held into vehicles captured in the expanded zone. Rather, our data relates to the ULEZ as a whole. This data is published every quarter via the ULEZ Fact Sheets which are published on our website via the following page:

https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/ultra-low-emission-zone - scroll down the page to the Finance, Operations and Performance section where the Fact Sheets are published. Within the Fact Sheet, see the ULEZ Compliance table which provides the monthly data requested.
