Our ref: FOI-1770-2324
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 04 September 2024 asking about a ULEZ map.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.
I can confirm that we do hold the information you require. ULEZ has been widely advertised (beyond as well as in Greater London) prior to each phased launch. The area covered by the ULEZ is clearly signposted with advance information signs on major roads, indicating the distance to the boundary to allow the option of avoiding the zone. There is also signage on the approach to the boundary, directional signs show which routes lead into the ULEZ, and which do not. Signs are at every boundary point advising when a driver is entering the zone and there are also signs within the zone to remind them that there are cameras operating.
We then allow up to three days after the day of travel into the zones to make the payment which we believe is a reasonable amount of time. When making the payment online we do advise on the payment page on our website that customers check that the information being entered is correct before submitting payment, and therefore we do not usually issue refunds or cancel PCNs for charges paid in error.
In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere. Please find the answer on our website via the following link, which provides the requested data: ULEZ: Where and when - Transport for London (tfl.gov.uk)
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely,
