You asked
Hi,
I am conducting research for a project and require Rolling Origin and Destination Survey data, I was wondering if this would be okay? I basically need all the data available from whenever the survey began.
I have had a look online and there doesn't seem to be much data available from previous years.
Please let me know if this is doable.
Thanks

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22nd October 2021 asking for Rolling Origin and Destination Survey data.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“I am conducting research for a project and require Rolling Origin and Destination Survey data, I was wondering if this would be okay? It is not entirely clear what data you already have access to. However, note that we publish RODS data online via the following link, which I assume you have already seen:
https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/open-data-users/our-open-data - scroll down to the “Network Statistics” section, “Rolling Origin & Destination Survey (RODS)” and the link “Access RODS”. There is then a link to RODS data at the bottom of the page. For older RODS data (for the years 2000-2002) please see the folder attached with this email.
Note that the RODS dataset was last published in 2017. Since then it has been superseded by our NUMBAT dataset which provides similar statistics for all TfL-operated rail modes. The 2019 iteration of this dataset is available for the public to access here: http://crowding.data.tfl.gov.uk/ Other years of NUMBAT data will be published to the same page in the next few months.
