Please can you tell me the size of the TfL London bus fleet? I'd like the total number broken down by year of manufacture. (I envisage a table with row being a year of manufacture, adding up to the total fleet number.) Within in each year please say how many are single/double deckers, and how many meet each emissions standard (4, 5, or 6 presumably?). Can you please supply the information you have by operator too? (If that falls into the table format, that would be great, but whatever you have would do.) This is the sort of information that I'd hope to find here: tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/improving-buses but can't.

The most recent data we hold is published at https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/bus-fleet-data-and-audits and can be filtered if you open it from our site as an excel spreadsheet.

We apologise for the pause in updating our quarterly fleet audit. This has been due to a significant change within TfL and continuing consolidation of our operations. We expect to re-establish the quarterly update process from the autumn.

In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.
