Can you please tell me how many Black Cabs are Licenced in London and out of that number, how many have a wheelchair exemption.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 15 July 2024 asking for information about Black Taxi cabs.

 

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. 

 

I can confirm that we do hold the information you require. However, in accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.

 

For information on licensed taxi vehicles please visit our website via the following link, which provides the requested data: Licensing information - Transport for London (tfl.gov.uk). In addition, we list all wheelchair accessible taxis and PHVs here. Note, all taxis are wheelchair accessible.
