We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-1167-1819

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 27 July 2018 asking for information about the Knowledge Test.

Your request has been processed in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. You asked for:

  1. Information as to how examiners are selected for each examination participant:

When candidates book out from an appearance at reception they are selected an examiner for their next appearance. In the interest of fairness, candidates will be examined by different examiners in rotation. On occasion they may see some examiners more than once on a particular stage.

  2. Information as to why requestor was given the same two Examiners on each occasion.

Our records show that this was not the case.

  3. The examination pass / fail – ratio averages generally and specifically for each examiner.

We do not have this information available.

  4. Records of the marks schemes of the tests and marks awarded to the requestor on each occasion.
