TfL Ref: FOI-0737-1718
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23 June 2017 asking for information about collisions involving Uber vehicles.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
I can confirm we do not hold the information you require.
We do not have any record of collisions split by individual Private Hire operator and so are unable to provide figures specifically for Uber vehicles. Collision data more generally can be found at the following link: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/safety-and-security/road-safety/london-collision?intcmp=33888
At the end of 2016 the Metropolitan Police Service implemented the Case Overview and Preparation Application system. This allows the reporting of personal injury collisions involving taxis and private hire vehicles to be shown as two separate categories from 2017 onwards.
Road safety figures for the first quarter of 2017, including a breakdown of collisions involving taxis and private hire vehicles, are currently being fully verified and will be published later in the summer at: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/road-safety
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
