Can I please know the total fines issued by TfL to it's Bus Operators in the last 24 months to date ?
Please list by bus operator. Please narrow by type of fines.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 20 May 2018 asking for information about the cost of fines TfL has issued to Bus Operators.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
TfL may issue a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) to any vehicle observed contravening a traffic restriction on the red route network. Bus services in London are run by private operators who have been awarded a contract by TfL; PCNs are therefore issued to the private operators. We do not record the type of vehicle that a PCN is issued to, therefore it is not possible to identify how many of those PCNs were issued to buses. Information about bus operating companies can be found on our website at: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/bus-fleet-data-and-audits.
Please see the below table which explains the amount of PCNs issued against each operator for the last two calendar years. Moving contraventions include banned manoeuvres and yellow box junctions, parking contraventions include being stopped where prohibited on single or double red lines, in red or white boxes and in taxi bays.
