I would like to submit the following FOI request. It relates to the Cycleway 4 - a continuous lane from London Bridge to Greenwich. The final stretch along Lower Road, Rotherhithe was completed earlier this month.

1. When did construction of the Lower Road phase of Cycleway 4 begin?
2. When was construction of the Lower Road phase of Cycleway 4 officially completed?
3. How many collisions were reported on Lower Road in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 so far?
4. How many of those collisions involved cyclists?
5. How many of those collisions resulted in injury?
6. How many of those collisions resulted in a fatality/fatalities?

Thank you for your request received on 4 April 2024 asking for information about Lower Road. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked: 1. When did construction of the Lower Road phase of Cycleway 4 begin? 2. When was construction of the Lower Road phase of Cycleway 4 officially completed? Construction work started on 4 November 2022 and was completed on 4 March 2024. 3. How many collisions were reported on Lower Road in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 so far? 4. How many of those collisions involved cyclists? 5. How many of those collisions resulted in injury? 6. How many of those collisions resulted in a fatality/fatalities? Collision data is collected by the Metropolitan and City of London police using Department for Transport guidance and is generally known as STATS19 data. Collision information is published in the Road Danger Reduction Dashboard on our website: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/road-safety Please note that we only have data on collisions that lead to an injury in our statistics. We do not report on collisions that do not lead to injuries. Under section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act, we are not obliged to provide you with information which is reasonably accessible by other means.
