Piccadilly line upgrade

We need to get the Piccadilly line ready for new trains.

To carry out the necessary work,  there will be a series of weekend part-closures of the line and temporary closures of the platforms at Caledonian Road station.

If you are using the Piccadilly line during the closures, you should:

Caledonian Road platform works

Until Thursday 21 November, we are carrying out works to the westbound platforms at Caledonian Road station. 

This means that between Monday 4-Thursday 21 November westbound trains (towards central London) will not stop at Caledonian Road.

Eastbound trains are stopping as normal.

During the closure:

  • Plan ahead
  • Consider alternative routes - including travelling East from Caledonian Road, and changing at  Holloway Road for westbound services
  • Check before you travel

Step-free access

During the platform closures, there is still step-free access to Caledonian Road station, but you cannot use the westbound platform.

You can use the Piccadilly line to travel East from Caledonian Road and change at the next step-free station (Finsbury Park) for westbound services.

Or you can use buses 17, 259 or 91 (N91 overnight) to King's Cross.

Earlier works

Work on the eastbound platform was completed at the end of October.
