We are now well into March and further to previous requests concerning the amount of time the speed restriction has been in place, I too would like to know your timeframe for the works to take place. The restriction is hindering traffic flow. How long does it take to make an assessment, this cannot go on indefinitely.

Thank you for your request received on 13 March 2018 asking for information about the temporary speed restriction on the A40.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.
Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested as we do not have a date for when the current speed restriction will end. The 30mph restriction has been put in place to ensure the safety of all road users. We have instructed some preliminary design work to be undertaken however we do not yet have a date of when this will be completed. We will continue to carry out our inspections along this route and take any necessary mitigating action.
