We answered

Our ref: FOI-4838-1718/GH

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 9 March 2018 asking for information about a Bus Stop Proposal at 68-70 Finchley Lane.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

The London Borough of Barnet are currently carrying out an accessibility project throughout the borough.  Some bus stops are located between dropped kerbs meaning they are not accessible for wheelchair users.  This is the case at the bus stop you refer to, where the borough has identified a location outside the block of flats which is set back from the kerb and where the line is at the correct height and length for buses to use both doors at once. LB Barnet will consult prior to any civils works taking place.

We understand that no decision has yet been made as the recommendation is still at consultation stage.  The consultation is down to LB Barnet and therefore you should contact LB Barnet directly for further information about the recommendations at this location.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
