Thank you for your request received on 4 March 2018 asking for information about Norwood Garage.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested as we do not know which routes will have hybrids in advance as the operators bid for the tenders and offer different options like new or existing vehicles. Only when negotiations are complete, do we know what the vehicles will be and we publish that data on the contracts website:

We are raising part of the bus fleet that is not as clean as the newest diesel vehicles to the same ultra-clean emission standard between now and 2020. There may be buses of different ages across London, both in the centre and outer areas, but they will all be ultra clean diesel vehicles for oxides of nitrogen and particulate matter. Additionally, when new vehicles coincide with contract renewal, they will be hybrid as Mayoral policy is for all new double deck buses to be hybrid diesel-electric or zero emission from this year onwards.
