We recently purchased a property on chastillian road in Dartford, that has a bus stop with a shelter outside. the shelter was a major decision when deciding whether we would purchase the property, as it prevents the driveway from being a three car drive, to just a single car drive, as well as not being able to park outside. initiall talks with tfl stated that hey could move the shelter for no charge. with this we purchased. we have now been informed it will now cost £8,000. We have absolutely no issue with the stop, but with the shelter being in the position it is. Now there must have been documentation in deciding the position of the shelter, so we are requesting for the report that went into this. There will have been a safety and impact analysis, so we are requesting this as well.

Thank you for your request received on 1 March 2018 asking for information about the bus shelter on Chastilian Road, Dartford.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and TfL’s information access policy. You asked for:
Documentation in deciding the position of the shelter, so we are requesting for the report that went into this. There will have been a safety and impact analysis, so we are requesting this as well.
Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested. The shelter was built in December 2006, since its installation it has never been modified or re-sited. We do not have any current plans to remove this shelter as it serves many of our customers. As this shelter was built over ten years ago, we no longer hold the documentation regarding the positioning of this shelter as any such information has been destroyed in line with our retention policies.
