Our ref: FOI-4665-2324/GH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 17 March 2024 asking for information about the escalators at Cutty Sark DLR.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
On escalator 2 there was some step to skirt scrapping which our engineers have recently been rectifying. Our inspector is on site today and we are hoping that Escalator 2 can be returned to service.
Escalator 4 has outstanding snags that need addressing before it can return to service. These will be worked on over the next two weeks when we hope it can be returned to service.
The recent longer term outages of the escalators at Cutty sark station were due to the longer term plan for this stations escalator assets. The escalators are all having extensive overhauls to bring improved reliability & availability for our customers.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
