Who is responsible for the payment of electricity which supplies the cameras that are mounted onto traffic lights?
And is the same entity responsible for the electric supply to the cameras that are mounted on stand alone poles?
We answered
Our Ref: FOI-4573-2324 Thank you for your request received on 15 March 2024 asking for information about the power supply for traffic signals and stand-alone poles. Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.
The power is taken from the local electricity power grid, as it is for all of our assets. TfL pays our energy supplier for the electricity supply for all of its infrastructure installed on the network.
