Dear

TfL Ref: FOI-4545-1718

Thank you for your email received by us on 15 February 2018 asking for information about a bus involved in a road traffic incident.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Our bus fleet data which includes make, model and registration number is published at https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/bus-fleet-data-and-audits.

We do not operate vehicles directly, private operators do this for us under contracts and have their own arrangements for dealing with damage to vehicles and claims. Most investigations into significant incidents on the bus network are investigated by the bus operators as they are best placed to gather information and manage risk associated with their vehicles and drivers on the network.

If your inquiry relates to a claim or a collision, you would need to liaise with them or their claims handlers. As we are not bus driver employers, we do not hold details of drivers or information they might share about an accident on the highway, as this would be part of bus operators’ fact finding processes.

London's bus services are operated by individual bus companies on behalf of TfL. Any CCTV on London buses is the responsibility of the company that runs that particular service or route. You should contact the company who operates that particular bus route. You can find this information on signs displayed inside each vehicle or on our Who runs your bus page.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
