Date published: 12 March 2018
You asked
I have been made aware (through social media) of a question submitted by London Assembly Member Keith Prince to the Mayor;
Question 2018/0165
In 2014 TFL referred Uber London Limited to HMRC,stating they found things to be in order.Given the reasons for Uber’s recent license application refusal,will the Mayor refer the matter back to HMRC?
In his reply,the Mayor states;
The tax arrangements of Private Hire Operators are a matter for Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC).Transport for London will continue to bring matters to the attention of HMRC as and when appropriate.
Under the Freedom of Information Act I would be obliged if you could inform me;
Have TFL referred Uber to,or communicated with HMRC regarding Uber,since commissioning an independent report on the IT architecture of Uber systems by Deloitte.
If so can you also supply me with copies of all such communications.
