Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 13 February 2018 asking for a copy of the “Please hold on the bus is about to move” bus announcement.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
Please find attached a copy of the requested file. This announcement was trialled for a short period before being changed to “please hold-on while the bus is moving’’ - the timing and wording being revised to help the public travel as safely as possible at all times, not just when the bus moves away from a stop. The trial was prompted by our desire to see if it can make the network safer. The trial ended mid-February.
