This request concerns information about the number of drivers Transport for London gave a private licence to that applied with a Sheffield (S) postcode, between 2014-2017. For clarification, the Sheffield postcode’s we are interested in re these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S_postcode_area Questions: - In 2014/15 how many drivers did your authority give a private hire licence to that applied with a Sheffield (S) postcode? - - In 2015/16 how many drivers did your authority give a private hire licence to that applied with a Sheffield (S) postcode? - In 2016/17 how many drivers did your authority give a private hire licence to that applied with a Sheffield (S) postcode? If possible, please could this information be broken down into the 32 London boroughs

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our Information Access Policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked:

In 2014/15 how many drivers did your authority give a private hire licence to that applied with a Sheffield (S) postcode?

In 2015/16 how many drivers did your authority give a private hire licence to that applied with a Sheffield (S) postcode?

In 2016/17 how many drivers did your authority give a private hire licence to that applied with a Sheffield (S) postcode?

Please find below information detailing the number of licences issued in each year where the driver’s current address includes a Sheffield postcode.

We are unable to report on a driver’s address details as recorded at the point of licensing,  only the current address. Therefore any Sheffield address that has since been updated will not be included in these statistics.
